Practice Grounds

Later that morning, Da-Jung sat on her desk thinking as to why Woo-Jin still hadn't sent his account number. She was very much worried thinking that Woo-Jin was going to increase her rent and already too much was on her plate and if the rent was increased, she couldn't afford it.

As she kept on staring at her phone continuously, she got frightened when someone smacked her back.

"What was that for?" She asked knowing who it was cause other than her friend, Sina there would be no one who would be this casual with her. Sina sat beside Da-Jung and said "That's because you keep on staring at your phone. A boyfriend?" She asked being curious.

"Ughh no!" Da-Jung squealed. After that hectic marriage life, she swore to never get involved with any more love or relationships. "I will return the money as soon as possible. So, I'm sorry for asking out of the blue."

As Sina heard Da-Jung apologizing, she again smacked her back. "You better not apologize for your grumpy acts next time. I never mind it. Just return whenever you like, no hurry!" And after smacking her, she caressed her back like a good old sister.

Da-Jung smiled. She was happy to have such a good and supportive friend by her side. Maybe if Sina wasn't there, she wouldn't have come this far or atleast gotten a job which was soon going to remain permanent for Da-Jung.

"But... can I ask why you needed that money?" It was so unlike Da-Jung to ask money in haste like this. Whenever Da-Jung wanted money, she would meet up with her and take the cash in hand but this time it was very unlikely of her. She never asked money through phone cause Da-Jung believed that she was clumsy enough to get her phone stolen or her account being hacked.

Sina knew that her friend had changed a lot ever since she stood on her own footsteps and began earning money after her family landed in debt. Da-Jung again looked at the phone and there was no message. Seeing her friend who had a curious yet concerned look on her face, Da-Jung narrated her story.

"So, are you saying Yang Woo-Jin is the owner of the apartment you stay at?"

And when Da-Jung nodded, Sina immediately hugged Da-Jung "My poor baby has to go through a lot. I can't believe this! SO UNFAIR!" As Da-Jung felt her friend's warm embrace, she began to cry. This was just troubling her.

"Let me treat you to a meal. You will feel better after that!" Honestly Sina had nothing she could do for her friend. She could only console her and treat her to meals. She couldn't even say her to back off from Woo-Jin's concert because if she was to do so, she would lose her own job and also Da-Jung's job.

She could only just watch and feel bad for her friend who was crying.

After having a light meal, Da-Jung went to JH Entertainment Company in the afternoon. They had told her to come for practicing during afternoon hours. So, she stood in front of the huge building and sighed.

"Here I come again!" She remarked while taunting herself and entered inside the building. After asking the receptionist for the practice ground, she was taken on the first floor of the building. There she saw various number of trainees, choreographers, and much more.

Surely, JH Entertainment Company had grown a lot. A pang of jealousy stabbed her heart and she could do nothing than just watch everything before her eyes.

Da-Jung was instructed to walk inside the second room to the right and she went inside that room. Unlike the other rooms which were occupied, Da-Jung saw no one in this huge spacious room. All she could see was the reflection of herself in the mirrors around her.

It felt nostalgic.

There was a time when she had visited an entertainment company once during her university days. It was like a trip done by their professor to help them understand things better. Da-Jung was very much happy to see everything. She took a note of each and everything and had also imagined herself practicing in a huge room like this for her comebacks and concert.

But she didn't know that all that what she had planned would go down the drain and she would be nothing but just a mere person who was working in a profession she never liked. Da-Jung regretted for leaving her competition just for the sake of her married life and losing a very precious opportunity of being known.

As she thought of Yang Woo-Jin who met her that day instead of the man she had to meet, she began to get angry on him. She hated to see him successful right in front of her eyes. She could say that it was jealousy, she could also say that it was anger... Da-Jung just had many reasons to hate Woo-Jin for his success.

Afterall, she blamed him for her life going down to hell.

Da-Jung heard the clicking sound of the door and instead of turning behind and looking who it was, she looked at the mirror which was casting the person's reflection. Seeing that it was someone she didn't know, Da-Jung kept her bag on the table and bowed the person who had come.

However, this person who had just entered seemed familiar. Much, much familiar.

Maybe it was her day to meet some familiar faces or maybe it was her eyes that were playing with her.

Yet, the more she looked at the man who was tall, tanned and had hair down on his forehead, she couldn't help but think of that bulky figure who was with her during her school days. As she tried recollecting the name, she bit her lower lip.

"Ahh! Right! Jinha! SON JINHA!" By the time, she could recollect his name, she saw that she was the only one in the room available. Da-Jung sighed.

"Maybe I'm mistaken!"
