A Party and An Uninvited Guest

After having a delicious meal, Da-Jung and Woo-Jin started practicing again. It was seven in the evening, that was when they stopped their practice and went back separate ways.

If people had seen them together in the practice room, they surely would have assumed that these two were dating because when they were practicing, it just felt like that.

They kept a good chemistry in between, Da-Jung played the piano very beautifully while Woo-Jin left things captivating with his melodious voice.

As days progressed by, Da-Jung and Woo-Jin were getting close to one another, they were having meals together, practicing together, talking with one another more comfortably…

The hate which Da-Jung had in her heart was slowly diminishing as she felt that Woo-Jin was the same kind hearted man whom she had fallen in love with.

But even if they were to get closer to one another, there was no way that Da-Jung would accept him again. Her life had turned upside down because of him and she couldn't go back to him to change her life again.

A week later, Da-Jung was having a small get together with Sina and Jinha. Well these two had now become a couple and Da-Jung hadn't celebrated for that… so, she had organised a party at her home for her two dear friends who had turned into a couple.

Da-Jung neatly arranged her room and stuck some red and pink balloons on the wall. She prepared a few side dishes like garlic chicken wings, fried cauliflower, mashed potatoes, and some chicken sliders and arranged them on the dining table in the living room.

She kept some candles and two bouquets of roses on either side of the table along with wine bottles and wine glasses.

And in the middle, she kept her main dish which was a piping hot chicken and mushroom stew. When Da-Jung was done arranging the table, she took a picture.

*DING-DONG*

The bell was heard and Da-Jung hurriedly rushed to the door to open it. Seeing Sina standing outside, Da-Jung pulled her into a hug.

"Where is Jinha? Did you guys not come along?" Da-Jung allowed Sina inside and told her to sit on the couch.

"He said that he will be there after some time."

Da-Jung mouthed an 'O' and sat beside Sina. For some time, the two began to talk about some this and that stuff and then another bell was heard.

Da-Jung hurriedly walked over to the door to open. She opened the door and smacked Jinha's arm "Who told you to come this late? The food has already turned cold…" She pouted and allowed him in.

While she was closing the door, she saw long chopsticks like legs entering inside. "Sor…" Her words got caught up in her throat when she looked at the person entering inside.

"You…"

Woo-Jin entered inside Da-Jung's home and looked around and then back at Da-Jung who still had a stupefied look on her face. He quickly pulled Jinha over to explain.

Son Jinha who still had no idea that Woo-Jin was Da-Jung's ex-husband walked towards Da-Jung and rested his arm over her shoulder. "You said me to hurry over and I had some discussions left with Mr. Yang so, I invited him. Me and Mr. Yang will discuss till you get the food heated." He eyed Woo-Jin who secretly blinked his eyes in approval for his excuse and hurriedly rushed towards Sina.

What Jinha said was a complete lie.

*FLASHBACK*

When Jinha was talking with Sina on the call about the party, he didn't realise that Woo-Jin was behind him hearing his conversation.

Since the conversation was about Da-Jung, Woo-Jin didn't leave any chance to eavesdrop on Jinha's conversation. After all, these two were inexplicably close. Not that he didn't like it, but maybe he was jealous of it.

And when Jinha hung up the call, Woo-Jin asked "Are you going somewhere?"

Jinha was very much surprised to witness his boss standing behind him. He gave an awkward smile and nodded.

"Miss Byeon, the one with whom you practice is a high school friend of mine so, she invited me over for a celebration."

"Celebration?" With the word 'celebration', Woo-Jin tried hard to think what special day it was today but it was to no avail.

"Is there something special today for Miss Byeon?" Woo-Jin asked being all professional. Since, Jinha hadn't asked anything about his relationship with Da-Jung, he assumed that Jinha didn't know that he was Da-Jung's ex. So, he tried to inquire in a professional way.

"No! Da-Jung is organising a party to celebrate me and my girlfriend's relationship. She couldn't congratulate us when we first came into a relationship, so, she decided to throw us a party."

"I see!" Woo-Jin exclaimed. "Mind if I join? You have been working with me since three years and I haven't done anything for you. So, I might as well join and congratulate you and your girlfriend." Woo-Jin smirked and patted his back inwardly for bringing out such an excuse.

Since, his boss had asked with such pleading look, Son Jinha couldn't decline. He agreed to it and also agreed when Woo-Jin asked him to make up an excuse and not state the truth.

*FLASHBACK END*

Woo-Jin smiled as he thought of his evil plan. The death glares which he was receiving from Jinha's girlfriend, from that, he was sure that Da-Jung might have said her about his relationship.

He inwardly took a deep sigh and glanced at Da-Jung who was heating up the food in the microwave. He stood up to walk towards her but was blocked by someone.

He looked at the person blocking his path and it was Sina.

"Yes?" He asked with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Why does Mr. Yang want to go inside the kitchen? It is occupied. If you want something, please say me or Jinha. Since you are a guest, please don't burden yourself with simple matters."

Sina suppressed her smile and made sure that the intention behind her doing this was known to him.

"I… I needed water." Woo-Jin said being a little taken aback by her words. If he thought about it right, she was saying him to not go near Da-Jung and let her have a peaceful life.

With a sigh, he turned back and sat on the couch. "I will have some cold water." He said as he sat down and Sina bought the water for him.

He glanced at Da-Jung but he didn't see her for even once looking at him. It felt as if she was avoiding him. Things were good when they were in the practice room together, she was talking, she was even having meals together with him so, why was she ignoring him now?
