THE BLOOD POND III

Oblivious to the impending doom that was approaching him, Kariak continued to heal his injury by the edge of the Blood Pond.

'I hope I'll be the one to kill and eat that child that did this to me.' He thought to himself.

Kariak felt disgraced and it ate at him that he couldn't wash this embarrassment away from his mind and the minds of his colleagues.

They also witnessed the embarrassing scene and looked at him with disgust or pity, and the Originals, all looked at Kariak as though he was inferior compared to them.

'How many years of toiling for resources? How many years of war and blood? I evolved from being a Dark Spirit, all the way to a Brigadier General, and yet, all of that was thrown away by a kid in this backwater place… all because our essence hasn't properly integrated into the nature of the Plane Realms,'

Kariak thought in anger and anguish, he was torn apart internally and externally.
