Chapter 21

"Hey,Lucien look!!" I point at the night sky as he was driving on the high way. Lucien look at the night sky fill with a lot of star and says,"Fana, do you want to see the sky better?" My eyes went blinking in excitement and agree it happily,"Yes, of course!" He just look at me and smile warmly. My heart went racing as I saw his mesmerising face under the dim street light that going past us one by one.

Then he asked me, with his chuckling voice he says,"Uh hm...why are you looking at me like that?.. Is there something on my face?" Feeling so embarrassed, I slightly touching my neck and laughs it off with an awkward laughter. "Uh hahaha.... Oh!! Lucien by the way where are we heading right now?" I asked him to change the subject.

Slowly the surrounding began to get darker as we are heading to a remotes place. Lucien tell me with his deep, husky voice that I will know when I was there. I feel so anxious and excited at the same time because I want to see the sky better and not get fooled again with him. I still don't really trust Lucien very much after the accident when he lock me up in the dark room.

Soon, I saw a huge lake that reflect the beautiful night sky and the lake seem so magical. Lucien park the car next to a pine tree and set up a tent. I went out from the car and jump up and down with excitement. "Lucien look, look!!" I pull his arm like a small kid who see the lake for the first time in their life.

Lucien who just set up the tent have been drag by me and he obediently follows me to the side of the lake. I look up at the sky and it was filled with stars and the moon is so bright that the surrounding seem to light up a bit. Then I saw at the side of the lake there's bushes fill with cat tails grass. On top of it theres a lot of fire flies. I pull his arm and bring him to see the fire flies better. I was so mesmerized to see the fire flies and to hear the harmonious sound of frog and grasshopper singing together, filling up the silent night.

I take a few deep breath and feel the cool breeze of the night. Lucien just staring at me with his warm smile. All of sudden his face become uneasy and seem to worry of something. I look at him in the eyes and asked,"What happen? Is something wrong?"

He reach out to me and hug me tightly. His whole body is trembling as I pet his back to comfort him. I feel bad for him and asked him with a concerning voice,"Are you okay,Lucien? Why are you trembling so much?" He didn't say anything but his grip seem to tighten.

I hug him for sometime till he let go of me. Slowly, I grab his hand and lead him back to the tent. He look so restless and frighten of something. Lucien seats down in the tent while I take out some snack from the car that I bought earlier.

I hand him some chocolate bar and he refuse it by shaking his head, unwanted to talk to me. I was so worry about him that it will go worse so I take a huge bite of the chocolate bar and melts it in my mouth.Then I push him down and kiss him with my mouth fill with melted chocolate.

His eyes are wide open and he sallow the melted chocolate. After some moment, I break apart from him and seats down on him. I look at him, saying,"What happen to you, Lucien? Why are you refusing to tell me what's bordering you? Tell me, who am I to you?"

He look at me with full of surprise then he turn his head to avoid any eyes contact with me. After some time he tell me with a low voice,"Sorry, its not the time yet....." I was in despair because he didn't mention who am I to him. Slowly, I get off from him and went out side to take a stroll near the lake to cool down myself.

Lucien was laying on the tent with his arm covering his eyes whisper to himself,"I am sorry Fana.... for not being strong enough to protect you... I am so sorry.... "
