This next soul entered the body of a fifteen-year-old boy. He showed what Milly said were signs that the soul is absorbing the memories of the body. Before the soul has completely absorbed the memories, the door swung open and several men came in. They injected something to the body and brought him to a delivery van.
They tied the boy to a chair and several people started working on the boy. Messing with the boys hair, applying make up everywhere, injuring some parts of the body, making a few cuts in the clothes and cleaning his hands. That was weird but everything made sense when Koro saw them place the boy into the driver's seat of a recently crashed car. They made sure to help the boy spread his fingerprints on the steering wheel, the seat of the car, the seatbelt, everything. The hood of the car has blood on it and it seems, whoever drove the car killed someone. Why else would they need this boy?
They worked on him for a few minutes and made a call to 911. The one that made the call said that he saw a crashed car just outside of the city. He answered the questions of the 911 operator on the phone and then hung up. Calmly, he took out the sim card and broke it into pieces and threw it.
Koro recorded everything. It might be useful someday. He even adjusted the angle so that it would look like a video taken by a body camera. Same as what the police use. He let those people go and waited near the car.
"My head," the boy became conscious and grasped his head. He looked around, trying to figure out where he was. Seeing the that he was in the driver's seat and the state of the car, he mumbled about entering the body of a person who died while driving? Is it heart attack? Or some kind of genetic disease or aneurism? He had so many questions.
The police arrived a minute later. They investigated a bit, took pictures and stuff while one of them brought the boy to the ambulance. "This seems like an open and shut case," said one of the policemen. "I just hope he confesses. Killing two girls while driving drunk. This kid should go to jail for life."
"Hey, check this out," one police officer pulled out a breath analyzer. "This one is given by the senator. It makes investigations easy."
"Why is that?" asks another officer.
"Because it will always show the result that you have been drinking. Even when you are not." He was laughing while passing the breath analyzer. Commenting that it should be called "tampered'.
They goofed of a bit and then left when the other cops were finished working on the crime scene. The CSI guys did their thing and left with the police.
The young boy thought that he was guilty of killing those girls. Though he did not drink and drive, the fact remains that he was the one on the wheel when he hit those girls. The evidence was convincing and he took over the body of a dead person.
The judge gave him the maximum punishment and sent him to a supermax. This should not be possible but someone made a call and off to supermax he goes. He was given a room where he would spend his life. Koro watched him closely. Since he did not take over the body of an avenger or X-men, then he would have his own powers. What kind of power did he receive that made him calm even after being sent to prison?
Koro did not have to wait long because, as soon as the doors were closed, the boy faced the wall and said the opening words to activate his power.
"In the name of Van, open Google Earth Pro."
The wall turned into a screen and the floor where he is standing changed color. Something popped out in front of him. It looked like a mike stand with a crystal ball at the top. Koro watched and was amazed at the boy's powers.
He can make gestures in the air and the image on the wall would change. It looks like he is actually accessing google earth. When he zooms into a house, he can touch the crystal ball and choose a mode of movement. He can walk and phase through walls, choose a vehicle and ride it. An actual vehicle appears in front of him. He rode a bike, drove a car, piloted a plane, commanded Quinjet and many other modes of transportation. Its clear that he does not know how to drive any of those vehicles but it auto corrects itself to assist him.
Although Van's powers look cool, it doesn't do much besides letting him see things. This might be a dream for a few FBI agents but for someone in jail, it lacks something or at least Koro felt that the power should be able to do more than that.
Van raised his right hand like he was making an oath and said the word 'One'. Then a room appeared. He didn't know it but Koro could tell, that room is where he found the young boy as the soul of Van entered it.
Van moved around and gestured to zoom into a few items in the table. It was surprising to see that van can take everything in the room. After that, he walked through the wall and went downstairs into the living room and out into the streets. From there, he zoomed out and viewed the house he just left. He zoomed out little by little to see more of the area.
This person, Van, started speaking to himself because he knew that no one else is in the room and that would be the case for many years. Maybe it was getting bored in advance but that was what he said. Koro watched Van play with his skill for a while.
Van checked all of the items he brought from his room and looked for cash. He then raised his hand like he was making an oath and said 'system store'. He placed his money on the crystal ball and it disappeared. He looked at something that Koro cannot see and complained that the second pin is expensive.
Something rattled Van and he became angry. Listening in, Koro finds out that Vans skill is a pay-per-view skill. The first 24 hours is free and then he has to pay for every minute of use. Although angry, Van started searching all the warehouses.
He found people in an otherwise empty warehouse near the airport. After getting a good look at the girl tied to a chair, he left to search for clues. Then he looked for the FBI office and searched for those that deal with kidnappings. He was patient and checked several floors and found a picture of her in one of the bulletin boards.
Van checked the address and zoomed into the mansion. There he found the girl's father was nervously waiting for the kidnapper's phone call. Van quickly took a piece of paper and pen and wrote something. He wanted to ask the father for money and placed the note in the father's study room.
Van returned to the warehouse. Zoomed into the girl's face and took a screenshot. Then he touched the crystal ball and placed an a4 paper near it. The crystal ball sent a wave of light to the a4 paper and the screenshot of the girl's face appeared on the paper. Then he went back to the mansion. Found the father still waiting for the call. Van placed the piece of paper with his money demand and the a4 with the girls face in it, in the father's table in his study.
The father ordered one of his secretaries to deliver the money. The note asked for 50,000 dollars cash but he gave 200,000 in cash. He could give more if he could be sure that his daughter will be safe. The secretary placed the briefcase into Van's room.
He took the briefcase after the secretary left and then he zoomed into the warehouse. Taking several screenshots at an angle that would make people think he used a camera, he then printed them in a4 papers and dropped them right were he place the first note.
An hour later, a hundred bodyguards who were all former military swooped in and saved the girl. They were quick and neutralized all the targets easily. The leader of this team made sure to capture everyone alive. They needed information. How were they able to kidnap the young miss? Many questions needed answers and they were well trained in certain techniques to make people sing.
Koro detected the energy of an infinity stone somewhere. He observed Van and it seems that he is unaware of it. Van is currently busy trying to earn more money. He took a lot of screenshots on the FBI's investigations and checked out a few places that they cannot enter. He checked out a few embassy's and houses of diplomats and matched the face of people inside to the FBI's wanted list.
When the 24 hours are up, Van had 450 thousand dollars and one pin. He rested for some time and when he woke up, he saw a tall, middle aged man, wearing a suit and shades, sitting in an empty room, his room, where he took the money.
The man is definitely Phil Coulson, agent of shield. Phil must have been waiting for hours. He even brought a table and is eating pizza. Van checked and Melinda May is outside monitoring Coulson.
A note dropped on the table. Phil read it and proceeded to write something on the back of the note and left it at the table. He was surprised to see it disappear. Van read it and learned that SHIELD wants his help in finding the missing Tony Stark.
Van sent another note.
"2 million dollars in cash. Give me a few days."
Phil smiled and placed the note in his pocket. He didn't know that Van wanted to know their base by following him.
