Far But Closer Now
It's now dark and the moon is shining as ever with the stars.
Rem was around here, deja vu kicks in.
This is where they supposedly walked to and they heard her scream.
She's not sure but if they managed to find Rem, she's sure they've walked here.
Rem is also starring to get nervous.
She's still not sure if her last visit here was real or dream, but she saw that fat bastard earlier, which can only mean a dream warning for the future, or it has happened and a weird checkpoint thing took her back to the appa stand.
Subaru noticed Rem is sweating and shaking in fear.
He poked her which her shoulders jumped and she screams out in surprise.
Rem: "S-Sir Subaru! P-please don't do that again! I-It wasn't good!"
Mimilia looks at them.
Subaru: "I'm just checking on you, Remura. You're sweating right now, and you're shaking like you're fearing something. Are you alright?"

Rem puts a hand on her face and she looks at her wet hand and she feels her body shaking a little bit.

Rem looks down as they walk.
"O-Oh! Uhm, I'm- It's nothing really! it's just so hot in here that I'm sweating, and I don't know why I'm shaking really I have no clue why!"
Rem looks at him, trying to find an excuse on why she's sweating but Subaru squints his eyes to Rem which she stopped talking and looks down.

Rem: "I'm afraid…"
Subaru looks at her.
Rem: "Something happened earlier… I wasn't sure if it was real or not, I'm trying to figure it out."
Subaru: "Wait wait hold on, you're afraid of what exactly?"
Rem starts to get flashbacks of those gross and disgusting cruel men making Rem cry to the fullest.

Rem sticks to Subaru and holds his arm, which he did not expect and he tries to get her off.
"Oi, Oi Remura! What are you doing??"
Rem just realized what she just did and gets off him blushing, and clearly embarrassed.
Rem: "I'm… I'm sorry! I don't know why I did that…"

Rem: "I'm really sorry that I can't explain what I am afraid of. I'm really not sure what happened then…"

Subaru looks at Emilia, which she looks at him back, not knowing what to say.

Subaru just sighs and puts his arm around Rem and pulls her to him.
Rem widens her eyes as she blushes, seeing Subaru just did that.
Subaru: "If you're afraid of something. Then I guess you can stick to me for awhile."
He looks at her.
"Whatever that might come, I'll protect you from it, okay?"

Rem blushes as she smiles and nods.
"A-alright, Sir Subaru…"
"You can just call me Subaru if you like. I don't really like being addressed like that."
Rem nods.
Emilia finds it soothing that Subaru is comforting someone he doesn't even know that much yet, he has never acted this way to any woman except for her and Ram.
Subaru can't believe he's doing this…
Subaru sees a man pass by them.
Subaru's Thoughts: "Maybe he knows where this Felt kid is?"
