Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany

"I missed you," I whispered while holding Valter.

The two-day journey made me physically and mentally exhausted, I buried myself in Valter's arms.

The fatigue from the trip has not disappeared yet.

"Did you have a fun few days?" Valter asked, stroking my hair.

I nodded slowly, not wanting to say too many words. I just want to rest.

"I'm very tired, I didn't get enough rest."

"Do you still want to go to Frankfurt tomorrow? If you are still tired, we better postpone it." Said Valter in a soft whisper.

I'm too tired to answer. I fell asleep in Valter's arms.

I felt like I slept for a long time with dreamland gluing my eyes shut tightly, a faint outline of a man's face became clearer, I open my eyes, there was Valter who was watching my face.

"What time is it? Is it morning?" I asked, getting up and stretching my hands to relaxing my stiff muscles.

"It's still 0700, I hope you would wake up earlier. I wanted to invite you out." Said Valter.

"Aren't we visiting your parents?"

"Yes, we should postpone the trip to Frankfurt, it will be very tiring for you. I'll wait until your body is stable and strong enough for a long journey."

"Today, instead I plan to take you to a place not far from Munich, you will not regret going, you better get ready. There will be lots of tourists if we arrive late, the trip there will take about an hour," added Valter again.

After an hour's drive, Valter parked the car at a hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a small town in the Oberland region near the Germany and Austria borders.

We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel with a superb panoramic view beside a clear lake, with a fresh green environment of pine trees lined up neatly in the blue sky which contrasts sharply with the iceberg mountains stretching beyond.

I watched Valter's closely, this morning he was wearing a white shirt with navy blue shorts, a casual and suitable look that covered his pure white skin, his blue eyes were like jewels that sparkled in the sunshine, combined with a golden glow from neatly arranged blonde hair. His facial structure is perfectly symmetrical with her calm and slightly cold demeanor. I just realized that Valter is so handsome.

hhhhh...

Valter looked up and smiled, and held my hand. This man doesn't talk much and doesn't act much, his attention is more to "action" without being asked, broad-minded, intelligent with a slightly strange sense of humor. The one thing I like is that he just smiles for me.

I followed Valter through the beautiful green pastures, the atmosphere was so serene and very natural, there was a reassuring sound of birdsong, a small wooden house, sheep grazing around us, small poodle dogs running around, and some cattle.

We continued walking until we arrived at a paved path and entered a slightly different atmosphere in the form of wild forests that contoured the road up and down and down, next to which was a river of clear water.

The roar of the waterfall can be heard loudly when we entered the location we are going to, in front of the entrance, at the top of the door there is a sign that says "Partnachklamm" in English better known as Partnach Gorge.

Valter grabbed a raincoat for me, clutching my hand tightly because it was very slippery and wet from the waterfall that flowed between the narrow rocks. This place is so amazing, a canyon running seven hundred meters with a depth of more than eighty meters that was formed through natural processes that occurred millions of years ago.

The entrance to the canyon, like entering a cave that is damp, dark, and partly bright, we walk between high and rough rocky cliffs and a narrow river of clear water with a fast flow.

Along the narrow road is fenced with iron so it is quite safe for visitors. The further we walk, the more beautifully carved the curves of the steep valley. From above the glacier, water flows between the rock walls causing the effect of local rain splashing along the canyon. The sound of a waterfall, splashing rainwater and the beautiful stalactite carvings on the walls of the canyon seemed to me to make out with nature.

Before heading back home, we agreed to meet Mia at a restaurant as well as a 'Paulaner'. This restaurant is more modern than Hofbrauhaus, the beerhouse we previously visited. The interior, design, and furniture look more elegant and luxurious. Valter first entered before me, it looks like Valer has VIP membership in this place, and we are very well served and placed in a private room with a beautiful view.

"Wow, this place is beautiful, if it weren't for you I might just be served like the tourists below," I said with eyes sweeping across the room. Large glass windows that faced right into the heart of the city, wallpaper with elegant decoration complete with candlelight and high-quality tableware.

"You can come to this place whenever you want," he said smiling. "But with additional costs, of course," I said again. "You don't have to waste your money renting this place."

"Calm down Jade. I have a magic card for that," said Valter calmly, watching me standing by the large glass window enjoying the city view. The conversation was interrupted, it seemed Mia was walking towards us followed by a man behind her. I greeted Mia with a hug.

"This is Carl - my fiancé." beside Mia stands a man quite handsome and looks mature to side with Mia. "Carl, this is Jade - my traveling companion and Valter's girlfriend." Carl smiled at me.

I nodded my head to greet Carl.

"Nice to meet you, Jade. Mia has told a lot about you." greeted Carl in a friendly manner.

"Thanks, Carl. Finally, I know who Mia's soul mate." I said back.

The four of us sat across from each other and enjoyed dinner, it seemed like this place wasn't the first place they had visited, or rather they had been here many times to gather.

The small party lasted for two hours, filled with Carl's story about Mia and their wedding preparations. "I'm so happy to see you, Jade" Mia whispered, walking out of the restaurant. We stood briefly in front of the restaurant while waiting for Valter, who had not caught up with us, came out.

"Me too Mia, I hope we can meet often. I want to spend time with you, I have many stories I want to share." I whispered softly. "Not this week, I have to finish my work first. Next week my leave will begin, you can help me prepare for the wedding if you don't mind," she said excitedly. Mia's eyes shone with relief and a happy light welcoming the big day of her life.

"Have you visited Valter's parents in Frankfurt yet?" Still in the same position looking at me closely.

"No, I just arrived from Austria. We haven't been able to visit yet." I said.

"I hope everything goes smoothly," Mia said, patting my shoulder. "What do you mean? I don't understand."

"Has Valter told you who he is?"

"You mean?" I chased her again with curiosity.

"Ah, never mind. It doesn't matter. I'll go first," Mia said, walking quickly past me.

"Come on Jade, let's go home," said Valter from behind while taking my arm.
