An hour had passed since the invading aliens were defeated, but the man of the hour was nowhere to be found.

However, if they knew what he looked like then they would have found him fast asleep on an unfamiliar couch.

"He's still asleep?" A voice belonging to a man asked. He was a fairly handsome man, one wearing a very nice suit and tie. The man had pale skin, short brown hair, and round shades that covered his eyes as the man...was blind.

His name was Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer that only takes cases for innocent people.

But he had another identity, one that strikes fear into the hearts of criminals in Hell Kitchen...

Daredevil.

The masked hero only came out at night, dawning a red suit with horns like a devil. He was ruthless to criminals, beating them up within an inch of their life.

Some would question his methods, but they can't deny that there was a need for such a person in this cruel world.

"No, he's still sleeping like a baby." A black-haired woman answered. Matt had brought her the unconscious teenager because she was nearby. Of course, she first insisted he take the boy to the hospital, but they found that he had no ID and Matt insisted it was better for him to be treated here, she was a highly trained nurse after all.

The nurse went by the name Claire Temple, a beautiful brown woman with brown eyes that has seen many strange things. She has experience dealing with mundane injuries all the way to the very traumatic ones. A highly trained medical professional with the uncanny luck to interact with an array of strange people.

"Wait...he's waking up." Matt suddenly said. His incredible hearing alerted him of the fact.

"What do you mean? He-"

"Ugh..." A groan escaped the teenager's mouth as he slowly stirs from his slumber.

The boy that was rescued happened to be Sion. After passing out, Matt had found him unconscious on the ground in an empty alleyway and he brought him to Claire to get looked at.

"Where...?!" As soon as those words left his mouth, Sion ridded himself of his grogginess and leaped to his feet, assuming a fighting position. His eyes dart around, seeing that he was in an average person's apartment. It was slightly messy, but not enough to be disgusting.

The sudden movement startled Claire, but Matt was unmoving, in fact, he even kept the same stoic smile he wears wherever he goes.

"Easy kid, you're safe here," Clair said, raising her hands to show he meant no harm.

"Who are you two and where am I?" Sion replied while he kept his eye on the brown-haired man as his senses were telling him he was the most dangerous.

"You're in my apartment. My name is Claire and this is Matt." She introduced herself while Matt simply gave a nod. "You were injured and unconscious and so...Matt brought you here."

Hearing this, Sion looked down to see his chest was exposed, showing bandages that were tied around by someone with expert hands.

Sion was still suspicious, but then he heard a familiar voice inside his head.

["Finally you're awake. And she's right, they did nothing to harm you. I would say you're quite lucky."] Nova said.

'Hmm...' Immediate after, he visibly starts to relax and eventually sits down on the couch.

"...I don't have any money." Sion frowned.

"If I wanted money then I'd first force this guy to pay me." Claire softly chuckled while pointing at Matt who wryly smiled.

Thirty minutes later, Sion had decided to relax on the couch and recuperate. He was still exhausted which Nova explained it was because his body was slowly getting used to the goddess's power.

During that time, Claire and Matt started to ask questions about his identity which he happily...declined.

"I don't want to give my information to two strangers. I'll only tell you my first name and that's it." Sion sternly said as he stood up. "I feel rested enough now, so I'll take my leave."

After a few moments of staring, Claire eventually gave up and went on to do other things, but not without sending a few words under her breath.

'Hmm...immediately after meeting him, I could tell that something was off about him and when he woke up he was ready to strike at any moment if I was deemed hostile. Did I make the wrong choice I wonder?' Matt thought to himself.

"Here." Matt suddenly took out what looked to be a business card. "It has my contact information on it. If you ever need me then just give me a call."

"...I'm starting to wonder if you are actually blind or not," Sion said while cautiously taking the card. He's been studying the man known as Matt Murdock and despite saying he was blind, he's instead moved as if he could actually see.

'And I can see he's a fighter...even with that suit on I can tell.' Sion thought. After fixing his clothes and making himself look presentable, he calmly walked out of the apartment with hopes of never meeting them again.

If only...

"So are we really just going to let him go like that?" Claire asked.

"Just like that. If we had pushed the issue...I'm afraid we'd be silenced." Matt answered.

"I was wondering about that." Claire frowned. "How does a kid get a body like that?"

"We can only speculate," Matt said as he watched Sion's back get further and further away. Of course, it looked like it, but in reality, he was just listening to the footsteps.

"You know, if I haven't seen your eyes, I'd wonder if you were actually blind too. You're pretty weird." Claire said, smiling a bit.

Matt could only sigh and shake his head.

'If I could see I'd probably find you weird too...'

After walking quite a ways, Sion found an empty bench to sit down at. A few people took notice because of his looks, but most were busy because of what transpired hours ago.

The city of New York was in a state of emergency with public service workers out in full force.

["So, about the rewards? How do I receive them?"]Sion asked.

["That's all you disturbed me for?... The identity has already been made after the portal was closed. Take a look."] Nova said just moments before a screen appeared in front of him. Luckily, no one but him could see it otherwise they'd give him a lot more attention than he has now.

[" New York City huh-SCHOOL?!!' Sion mentally screamed as he shot up from the bench, startling a few people.

['Nova?! School?! Are you fucking kidding me?!'] Sion scowled.

["It was the only way as who would believe that you are of age with that face."]

["Some people still look very young! And how long is the trial going to be if you have to go that far?!"]

[" I am unable to determine that and this is for the best. The cons outweigh the pros as even though the goddess is extremely powerful she is not absolute in this world."] Nova replied.

["What?! Didn't she create this world too? How can she not do what she wants?! Also, how does that have anything to with me going to school?!"]

It would seem that Sion was strongly against this idea, but deep down inside he was a bit curious. During the trials, he experienced many things during his time in the goddess domain as he was trapped in that damnable place for what felt like an eternity.

He was drowned in blood and violence constantly which would have driven most people mad, but one of the things that kept him sane was thinking about his days in high school. A somewhat peaceful time before the goddess deemed his planet unsavable.

However, as of right now he had no time to relax in school and needed to complete this supposed trial to return back to his home.

'I have no time for school...' Sion thought while balling his hands into a fist.

["It's already been decided...as for your money it's been placed in an untraceable account for you to use at a later date and the upgrade...you'll need to find a secluded area to receive the upgrade or risk the chance of drawing eyes onto you even more.."] Nova said.

Several miles away in a place hidden from sight, a group of people was having a crisis of their own.

The place was used by a secret spy organization by the name of S.H.I.E.L.D which also served as the employer of the Avengers. Nick Fury was the man at the head of the organization, a man with a lot of secrets, one of them being how he lost one of his eyes.

At the current moment, he was pointing to a screen with the image of Sion as Kamen Rider Marvel X, the mysterious hero that saved New York City.

But to Nick, he was no better than a criminal at the moment.

"So, you're telling me that you still can't find any sign of this man?" Nick asked with a forced smile on his face. He'd looked around, eyeing every single operative working tirelessly to find the mysterious person, but no one answered.

"No one?! NO ONE?!" He roared, slamming his hands on the table in front of him. "Damn it! Someone with a flashy suit like that managed to slip through our fingers?!"

A long silence overcame the room and eventually, Nick let's out a long sigh.

"Keep looking..." Nick said, rubbing his hand across his bald head before turning to two of his best operatives, Natasha and Clint.

Black Widow and Hawkeye.

"I want this man found. I believe a person like that will eventually slip and we'll pinpoint his location. Clint, I know you have a family to get back to, and I'll allow you several days of rest. You are dismissed."

"Thank you, sir." Clint quickly answered before excusing himself from the premises. He may be leaving now, but he'll still keep an eye out for this masked hero.

"Natasha... I need you on this. Can I count on you?" Nick asked.

"Yes, commander. " Natasha replied with a swift nod.

"Good. Now we were, of course, unable to find him, but luckily one of our Avengers is willing to help after he takes care of the situation with Loki. I'm not completely sure how long that will take, but for now, you'll comb the areas he was last seen in." Nick said.

"Yes, commander," Natasha said again. She then excused herself from the area to gather supplies before heading out to start her mission. The woman heard a bit about him from Steve, and it made her a bit curious about his origins.

'Now...will this be a hard or easy mission?... I wonder how does the man feel about red?' She thought as her luscious lips perked up for a moment. Although the assassin thought of such things she knew very well that the mission takes priority over everything.

And she'll follow it down to the very last letter.

"Get me Tony on the line. I want to hear about what he found." Nick said to one of his agents.

After a bit of venting, Sion slowly accepts his situation. He had neither the power nor means to go against the goddess's will. He'll have to do everything that is asked of him if he hopes to save his planet one day.

Nova informed him that time on his planet had been stopped, so he can fully concentrate on his current trial.

Sion didn't like it, but he was grateful, and perhaps this way he can complete the trial faster...whatever it may be.

But...he did have some concerns.

"Sion! Thank goodness you're here! We were worried sick about you!"

To be continued...
