Guardian

Quote of the day: You never know. You hope for the best and make do with what you get."

~ Nick Fury

Tell me if you find any mistakes and enjoy this mortals!

Run up those stones and collections!

So, just to inform people as they continue reading. This world is an AU, but I will generally keep things close to canon.

In this situation, I'm using Aunt May from recent MCU, but young Peter Parker from Earth 616. I'll generally use versions of characters that I like the most.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk!

I also would like to apologize for my absence as I had just got a new job. However, things should be back to normal. I hope to do at least 5 chapters per week and if it's more then I had more time.

"Sion! Thank goodness you're here! We were worried sick about you!" A woman said as she spotted a familiar blonde-haired boy sitting on a bench alone. She'd immediately run to him and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him like any worried parent would if their offspring went missing.

Let's rewind a bit.

After Nova informed Sion about his rewards, he was told that he will be going to school at Midtown High. Of course, with the fate of his world on his shoulders, going to school would be a waste of time.

Unfortunately, the inconveniences didn't there...

As he gained an identity, a few more things were added to make sure no one could ever question where he came from.

Things such as a place to live...and a guardian.

An actual living person...and they were hugging him right now.

It was a middle-aged woman, one with slightly pale skin, long brown hair, and dark brown eyes. She was beautiful for her age and quite possibly could pass for someone much younger than what it says on her ID.

Her name was Maybelle Parker otherwise known as May. She was a caring and understanding woman that has been through a lot, especially with the death of her late husband Benjamin Parker. May's journey to healing wasn't an easy one, in fact, she was still on that said journey, trying her best to stay strong for her nephew.

And that's when it happened.

It was a long complicated process, but eventually, May became the guardian of Sion. She was close to his parents before their unfortunate death and didn't want him to end up in foster care. Today was supposed to be the day he officially moved in, but then a literal alien invasion happened.

"I called the police as soon as I couldn't find you, but they weren't exactly any help at the moment," May said, wiping away the tears from her eyes. "...Luckily I found you and-what's wrong?" She asked, noticing Sion's strange look.

["Nova...what the hell is this?"]

°•°•°•°°•°°•°•°•°•°•°°•°

Sion couldn't believe it nor could he understand what the goddess was doing to him. He figured this trial wouldn't be a simple one, but now it feels like she is doing all of this to spite him.

Nova already explained it was for the best, but he couldn't help but find it annoying. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do except live with it...for now.

It was strange having someone worried about him, but he managed to calmly answer her which caused her to visibly relax.

After assuring May he was fine, the two would walk to her apartment. It was a fairly nice place located in Queens which luckily was relatively untouched by the alien invasion.

Once inside, Sion was greeted with a nicely decorated abode with surprisingly a lot of space. It was two bedrooms flat with quite a large living room and kitchen space. It seemed a bit cluttered in some areas, but it was negligible to Sion.

"...I have your stuff in Peter's room. It's going to be a bit of a tight squeeze for a while, but I think we'll be able to manage, don't you think?" May asked with a smile. She had been trying to talk to him the entire walk, but he was either untalkative or still in shock at what happened.

She tried to keep her calm, but she was finding it a bit difficult.

"Ah...I got something in the fridge for you to eat or you can-"

Sion ignored her and walked to the room he was supposedly sharing and closed the door behind him.

"What am I doing?..." May sighed while rubbing her forehead. She quite literally didn't understand why she looked into being a guardian for Sion, but she couldn't help but want to see a smile on that boy's face.

°•°•°•°°•°°•°•°•°•°•°°•°

[Nova, tell the goddess to fix this. I can't do this!] Sion mentally shouted. The room he went into seemed to belong to a boy by the name of Peter Parker. It was rather clean, though he could spot tons of academic books, some of them looked too complicated for a normal teenager.

["I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. If you ignore what the goddess has given you then unfortunately her deal with you...will be off"] Nova said, sounding quite colder than they usually are whenever they speak.

"Damn it..." Sion cursed as he grabbed a seat at the computer desk. He'd sigh and scratch his head while he tried to calm down. 'Why is the goddess even doing this to me?...will this even help me in the long run? Who am I hiding from that makes the goddess do something like this?...'

Sion had questions, but from the way Nova sounds, he'll never know...at least for now.

After several minutes of thinking, Sion recollected himself and decided to do something productive. He needed to know more about the world he was in and what better way to learn than from the internet.

Luckily, there was a computer on the desk that he could use to learn everything thing he needs to know.

The computer most likely belonged to Peter, but he shouldn't mind, hopefully, there wasn't a password.

He booted it up with a push of a button, and within seconds the screen flashed on to show the login screen.

Thankfully, the computer automatically logged in which was perfect.

Soon after, he was greeted with a background picture of a spider symbol, but he paid no attention to it and quickly found the internet icon.

Sion learned a bit about Peter Parker as May talked about him a bit when they were walking to their home. Peter was her nephew, a teenage boy with a genius intellect and an affinity for science and engineering.

Sion was also like him in a way, they both lost their parents and their uncle was the one who had the most impact on their lives.

Keyword...was.

Peter's uncle died in a terrible accident while his...betrayed him.

Thinking about his uncle made Sion's blood boil, he wanted to beat that backstabbing man to a bloody pulp and throw him into the deepest chasm he could find.

But...

'NO!!' Sion slapped his face. 'Don't think about it, just concentrate on learning.'

After clicking on the internet icon, Sion typed in news on the search engine and an array of articles appeared. It was strange that there were some similarities between his world and this one, but he wasn't going to complain about it.

Newyork City seemed to be at the forefront and there were articles about him..or at least Kamen Rider Marvel X.

"A new hero or menace? Huh? By...J J Jameson?" Sion read before reading the full article. It was rather vague in its details and a lot of assumptions that made him chuckle a bit.

"Eh...well I did hit Iron Man...Tony Stark is it? That guy I first met? Meh..." He muttered as he clicks away from the article to look at others.

He learned that superheroes were pretty much standard, but there were different sides to it from what he read, but he wasn't going to worry about it.

The term mutants also came up quite frequently, and trouble always seemed to follow them.

Sion stroked his chin, "Hmm...So many things happening in this place...I wonder what I'm actually supposed to be doing here..."

An hour peacefully went by of Sion absorbing information until finally, a familiar screen appeared, ruining his mood.
