Her dreams

Michael continued to stay perplexed, feeling him still zone out, Sara felt unusual and let go of his lips and looked up at him. Seeing him solidified in his place, Sara felt a bit embarrassed and something stabbed her heart. She got up from him and tried to act as if nothing happened in between them.

"Sorry, I think we should discuss our project some other day," and saying that she just dash out of his office, not waiting for him to reply.

Michael tried to say something but he held back his voice to call her. It was better if they never met, but who knew that the mistake would become his most horrible nightmare and most beautiful dream of his life.

Michael stood still in his place and looked at her leaving silhouette, no matter how much he tries to move on but fate brings him back again to the same starting point.

There was something that always pulled him towards her, something majestic or some sorcery.

Sara rushed out while trying to hold onto her tears when she bumped into Joey, who was going back to Michael's office with the beverages.

Joey was muddled seeing Sara in that state, her lipstick was smudged a bit while her clothes were a bit disheveled because of her abruptly getting up and running out but seeing Sara trying to hold back her tears, Joey was astounded.

She was still unsure about what happened when she left them, but before she could ask anything to Sara, Sara just pardoned herself and left the place in a hurry.

Joey wanted to ask her what happened between Sara and her boss when she went out. Did her boss harass her?

No, what was she thinking of? She should be really ashamed to think something like that. She has been already with him for a long time, and during this whole period, she has never seen any rumors of him with any girl or not she had seen any girl meeting him except for work.

Her boss was a workaholic, the only thing he is devoted to his work than what happened with Suzan.

She walked towards Michael's office with her head filled with those questions. She knocked on the door before entering his office.

Her eyes immediately went towards the lipstick stain around Michael's lips, she was dumbfounded for a moment, her mind went blank. So what she thought was true? Joey questioned herself in her mind before coming back to her senses.

"Boss...Miss Suzan…" Seeing Joey, eyes glued towards his lips, Michael understood what she was anxious about, his hand instinctively went towards his face and tried to cover his mouth to hide the lipstick stain.

Joey knew what he was trying to do, she instantly looked away, no matter what happened, she holds no place to say something. And most importantly she was just an employee, while both her boss and Suzan were influential people, she has nothing to do with nor she wanted to.

She excuses herself even before Michal's reply, "I think you are still busy, I will come later." Saying that Joey left Michael alone.

She returned to her seat and sat down, seeing her mood bit off, her colleague went close to her to inquire what happened to her "What's wrong?"

Joey looked up at her friend, and just shook her head and sighed. Her friend got anxious about her.

Joey was always a cheerful and optimistic girl, even though she had a good family background, she still chose to live like a normal one and work as an ordinary employee. But seeing her so down today her friend, Rachel sighed not knowing how to lift her mood.

"Did you pop the question to Michael finally and… did he…" Axel shut her mouth knowing she should not continue asking the question, she tried to change the topic, "It's fine to let's go out and I will see you in heaven." Axel smirked as an evil idea snapped into her little head.

She pulled Joey out of her chair and took her out forcefully. Joey didn't know what was going on with Axel, but she didn't understand she followed her without trying to stop her as if she had no energy to stop her friend's evil plans.

Sara walked out of the building, she didn't even dare to look back at the enormous skyscraper. She sat down in the back seat of her car, and she tried her best to control the immense pain she was feeling right there. Her whole body was shivering.

Sara looks up at her driver, "Go straight home." Sara instructed her while taking out a small orange bottle from her purse, that contained some white pills. Her hands continued trembling but she struggled her best to stop herself and take her medication.

She finally felt better after taking her medication, she laid back on her seat and opened the door to let in the fresh air. She let her tears flow without holding back anymore.

Anxious, pain, or sadness what was she even feeling? After so many years she was finally able to meet him. How many times she had struggled these years, how much she missed the warmth of his.

She can't even tell it was his fault, she knows it was all her fault. If that year, she didn't leave him, if she didn't let go of him, he may not even be alive. Why does she have to let go of her precious one? She hated it and more she hated the fact it was all her fault.

She closed her eyes, and suddenly she saw a hazy image of a fire. There was someone, trying to get out of the fire. At first, it was just a blurry silhouette of someone but then the most got clearer and she could see the face. Seeing whose face was, was like a shock to her.

"No!!" She shrieked out of her dreams.
