Lessons: Chapter 4

Tatiana returns to her room to find the boy doing pull-ups at a steady pace. His breathing is calm, for a twelve year old his body looks fit enough more than the average. She looks back and sees Damien and Nora inviting them over to see what she sees. The boy finishes his reps and stretches then does push-ups and speaks "I know you three are watching me" Nora chuckles at his comment "Sorry hon, we are just surprised to see a boy of your age be this physically built." "The Akai make us train very hard. Non Stop fighting, training sessions of all different fighting styles. We have a test to survive in the forest for a week. Those who come out rank higher than the rest. Hate and more training afterwards... No time for playing, just fighting and more fighting. Survival lessons were tough, they break you until you properly fight back even if you're weak and cannot. Muscles sore from the constant movement and fighting, pain from being hit from the wrong movement." Tears fall slowly from Nora's eyes, Damien and Tatiana look at her "What's wrong?" Tatiana puts a hand on her shoulder. "This boy's pain... You take good care of him. He's been through too much." She wipes her eyes hugging the boy. "Go and eat hon." The boy nods and goes off with Tatiana. As all the other soldiers leave their tents they all stare at the boy immediately noticing the Akai symbol on his arm, the boy looks around at them. Tatiana looks at the boy then notices everyone else, "Don't worry, it'll all change '' A man walks up looking the boy up and down. The boy looks up at him almost bearing his teeth. The man chuckles and looks at Tatiana. "Keep your pet leashed" "Stare him down like that one more time and it'll be the last time you'll see anything." She smiles at him then takes the boy away. Everyone else looks away as Tatiana and the boy sit with Damien "Idiot Damien '' the boy looks at him while Damien frowns at Tatiana. "At least he remembers your name" she laughs. "Stay with him, actually..." she helps the boy up. The boy tilts his head looking at her "Hmm?" "Cmon let's get some food" the boy shrugs and follows her. The two walk to a large area with food tents, lines full, soldiers chatting while grabbing their food. Some of them see Tatiana and the boy immediately stopping their convo and eyeing them down. Tatiana sighs and looks down at the boy who is now gone. She growls and goes inside the captains office grabbing a megaphone "Hey! Since all of y'all don't mind your damn businesses, I'm gonna say this once. Leave. The. Boy. Alone. If you gotta problem with him, come to me and I'll deal with it personally. He's twelve, give him a fucking break. Mind your businesses. Don't cause any problems won't be any problems. She walks off and looks for the boy. The boy is seen walking into the forest making his own bow carving some arrows and a strap to hold them. She heads towards the forest and looks around cautiously. "Kid you here?" The boy looks up hearing her voice then looks back down setting his bow and arrows down. He speaks to himself while moving on to make a spear. An Akai sees the base from a tree and looks back at a group "They are feasting. Let us attack now." "Is that the lady's wishes?" "Anything necessary to get the traitor." The second one sighs and nods. The first Akai nods and lights his arrow letting it go as it hits a tent lighting it on fire. The soldiers look over seeing more fire arrows fly into the base, some hitting soldiers, others hitting the ground lighting the area on fire. Gianna walks out of her office with a gun and shoots at incoming Akai "Get off your asses and fight back! Damien where is your sister and the boy?!" Damien slides into cover loading his gun. "She gave a whole speech to everyone to leave the boy alone, he left, where I have no idea." He leaps over a picnic table shooting two Akai down. The boy sniffs the air looking over to see the Akai running towards the base. "Hm... they don't want me there." Tatiana hears the shooting and looks back then runs back taking out two pistols shooting two Akai down. "Damien!" "Over here!". Becoming a warzone the whole base goes against the incoming Akai, some soldiers dying, some Akai. Tatiana gets shot in her leg yelling in pain as more Akai storm in. The boy hears her his ears twitching. He sees a flower and shakes his head. "No... have to..." He walks towards the flower and catches the scent his eyes changing a different color, soon his whole body transforming again. Damien sees Tatiana injured. "Take cover!" "No shit!" An Akai aims his spear at her. "Where is the boy?" The boy runs in on all fours then leans up aiming his spear throwing it hard with a loud roar, the spear impaling the Akai. Tatiana looks over at the boy her eyes widening. The boy takes his bow out shooting down multiple Akai. The leader notices him and points" "The Beast!" The Akai put their focus on the boy who is running towards a group of them. Damien runs over helping Tatiana up. "Who the hell was that?" "Tha- that was the boy... he's a wolf??" The boy twirls his bow spinning to the left elbowing an Akai back before tripping him with his bow and stomping his head into the ground. The other military members watch the boy in shock. "Traitor!" An Akai yell's out. "Survive at all cost!" The boy roars cutting through the other warriors heading straight for the leader. The leader shoots at the boy, the boy dodges the arrows quickly landing on a tree swinging off kicking the leader down into the ground slamming his head into the ground holding his hair up. "Who sent you?" "You murdered your tribe. The king. You should've accepted your fate. You're weak!" The boy tilts his head remembering who he had to train with. "I remember you." He smirks. "All the pain, tears... everything." He nods. "Deliver the message. Leave. Them. Alone. Or I will kill everyone." Another group surrounds him aiming their weapons. The boy inhales deeply standing up then exhales dropping his weapon, his claws coming out. Damien tends to Tatiana's leg then looks up watching the boy. The boy runs towards an Akai and rolls over his back kicking him into a tree. He dodges another grabbing another one's spear breaking it in half taking the other side stabbing it through their head. He uses the other to leap off the ground landing in the middle of a group. He leg sweeps them all down grabbing a table slamming it over them. An archer shoots at him the arrows going through him. The boy groans and turns back, turning around and ripping the arrows out with a pained groan. Damiens eyes widen as he sees his body heal quickly. The boy bites the arrow, getting on all fours running towards the archer, the archer continues shooting, the boy dodging and jumping off the trees. "That kid." "What?" Tatiana groans, leaning up and watching the boy. "Whoa". The boy is seen with the archer's head walking back towards the leader throwing it at him. "Leave". The leader stands slowly and runs away. The boy exhales and looks around at the people watching him. Gianna walks up to him looking down at him. Nora walks up with her. The boy goes back to normal and wobbles a bit. Tatiana limps over and holds him. Nora smiles at him. "I knew you were special but you are something else boy." "What you did today was brave. Dangerous, but brave. We could definitely use that here." The boy tilts his head, not understanding. Nora looks at the boy. "She says you're welcome to stay here with us and that she appreciates your act of bravery and heroism." "This boy here! treat him with respect, as he is one of us now!" Tatiana smiles. "I'm glad I won't have to kill anyone."
