Moon Rising

"Excuse me, mister? Are you looking for something?" Amy couldn't help imagining something menacing, in fact more than one reason. As he turned to look at her, she realized that despite his raggedness, he look fresh and young. His clothes were that of a nomad but his face was that of a.... biblical character? Something like that. There was something archaic about him.

"Do you happen to live here?" Heavy British accent! Very strange in this country and this neighbourhood. Who is this man?

"Yes, sir. How may I help you?"

"I'm looking for Isolde", seeing the quizzical look on my face he added, "my cat".

"Oh, I almost thought you were Tristan looking for his Isolde." I laughed, trying to sound normal.

"As a matter of fact, you're almost right. It's Tristram, though."

"No way. And was your father's name Meliodas?" Nervous and confident at once, I tried to play along.

"Haha. Sadly, no. It's one of those common Johns and Josephs. Welcome to the neighbourhood. It seems you're new here. I've been living here for 15 years, but seeing this house occupied for the first time."

"Oh, is that so? I wonder why. I instantly fell in love with this house. Hard to imagine that this house stood lonely for so long".

Tristram stared at me in a melancholic manner, his lips slowly curving to make an enchanting smile. A ginger cat with hues of black all over it jumped out of the hedges and started nuzzling around his leg.

"Ah, there she is. Well then, see you around".

Amy watched him walk back, slow paced and sad. There was something heartbreaking about his body language.

"Amy?"

Natalie peeked out of the front door. Amy walked into the house. Natalie had got two of her flatmates to come over and help, so the unpacking was almost halfway through. She had kept all the plants in the space outside the kitchen. There was a small wooden table and few iron chairs there. It was one of the things which Amy loved about this placed.

Amy ordered food for all. She offered them a place to stay for tonight. She would drive them back tomorrow. They agreed. They were college-going students, and it was vacation anyways. Amy offered to pay them as well. They initially refused but since Nate also insisted, they agreed. Amy loved the fact that there were three women other than herself under this roof on the first day home. She always believed in energies and the feminine energies emanating from these women were very positive. As everybody went to their rooms and beds, Amy laid awake, looking at the full moon beaming at her window sill. "Rise, slowly, each day, every day, and I'll wait for you. I promise". She randomly talked to the moon, which was something she always did. The moon's energy meant much to her. She called herself a moon-child.

"Amy.." The lips brushed against the curls covering her ears. The hands reached slowly around her waist to touch even further down. She moaned. This was unreal. This was beautiful.

"Come to me when the time is right."

Amy woke up hearing the sounds from the kitchen and the living rooms. The others were all up and about. When she went out, the unpacking was almost completely over. Nate had fixed breakfast for all. The ate cheerfully and left by 11. They stopped for lunch at 1 and Amy bid temporary goodbyes to all before heading back.

She had forgotten to take the lavender plant inside, alongside the other plants. She realized only when they started out for the drive so it was weighing heavily on her mind as she drove back. But nevertheless, she needed to stop by the library before going back.

Although a small town, the local library had an exquisite and not to mention, enormous collection of books. Taking a membership didn't take long. A member could borrow 5 books every month and it should be renewed by the 30th day of borrowing. Amy learnt all the rules quickly and chose her first five books. On her way out from the library, she noticed a shop adjacent to it. It sold herbal condiments. The shopkeeper was an old woman of around 70. Amy made acquaintances with her quickly by exhibiting her inclination towards herbal remedies and bought some as well. Just when she was about to leave, the shopkeeper stopped her.

"Don't leave yet, pretty girl. There's someone I want you to meet."

"I will come by next week, abuela", Amy said.

"Just a moment, chica."

Amy turned back to look at the road and she ran into what grandma wanted her to meet.

"Meet my grandson. He's single."

Amy laughed out loud. The grandson clearly looked amused. Not embarrassed, so she must have done this a lot.

"Come, let me help you with these stuff. Did you drive here?" The grandson probably wanted to make her go away sooner. He was a handsome man: tanned, clean shaven but green hued baby hairs were growing back, chiseled face and body. He was wearing a beige shirt and grey-blue short pants.

" Please don't feel bad about lita. She wants to see me married and with a bucketful of children soon. I'm not interested. So she keeps doing this."

Somehow the fact that such a handsome man is not interested annoyed Amy on tiny bit. The next moment she wanted to laugh at her own silliness. She thanked him and drove back.

The house was peaceful to say the least. Amy was tired from the long ride and after a quick snack, she hit the pillows again. It was almost 7 by then.

"Amy..."

The slow breathing grew louder against her ears. She could feel her body pressed against the warmth of another. And it slowly caressed her. Seeing that her body responded to the caresses, the smile broadened. One hand came from under her to hold her warm and soft mounds. Her chest stopped for a moment. She gasped.

"Amy.. Will you allow me to do this?"
