Ch 38: Ally.
"The towns turning out nice." Yuki says as Rimuru is taking her turn to give them a tour of the town.
"We are working hard yo-" Rimuru stops speaking because Nekra interrupted him.
"You should get Hakurou nya." Nekra says
"Why?" Rimuru asks
"Because he also knyows who is coming nya." Nekra says looking into the distance and seeing a single Pegasus knight.
"I shall get him." Ranga says taking the opportunity to bolt out of Rimuru's shadow away from Nekra.
"What was that about?" Rimuru asks
Nekra tilts her head.
"I don't really know nya." Nekra responds
However Yuki can be heard giggling.
A single can bee seen in the sky flying.
"How would Hakurou help? No I don't sense any attacks?" Rimuru asks confused
"Nya? I guess you will see soon enough." Nekra says
"O-okay...." Rimuru says having given up.

The Pegasus knight quickly lands behind the tree line just out of view.
"I'm back." Ranga says delivering Hakurou says
"I see why you wanted me to come now." Hakurou says
"I know right nya." Nekra says with a nod removing the disillusionment charm.
"Hello.... teachers!!" Gazel shouts seeing both Nekra and Hakurou here from his spot in the trees.
"Told you this would help auntie nya." Nekra says which causes Gazel's mouth to gape open.
"Wait the slime is your aunt?" Gazel says
"Yes nya, through marriage." Nekra responds
Gazel just nods silently.
"To think the little kid I picked up in a forest and taught swordsmanship all of those years ago would become king." Hakurou says
"I knyow right? I remember when he had just wondered into my dungeon nearly 300 years ago nya." Nekra says
"You also taught him?" Hakurou asks
"Yes nya, Magic because I found his sword training adequate nya." Nekra says
"Maybe we should spar sometime?" Hakurou asks
"Nya sounds like fun nya." Nekra says a weird gleam in her eyes.
An audible face palm is heard as Yuki shakes her head.
"Not again, that battle maniac phase was terrifying." Yuki mutters
Safi shivers a little remembering the "training" she got when she was first built.
Rimuru is standing there looking clueless.
Gazel himself realizes he doesn't want to miss this moment.
Hakurou and Nekra nod at each other before pushing the confused slime forwards to talk.
"So uh, why are you here?" Rimuru asks
"I wish to make an alliance." Gazel says
"What kind of alliance?" Rimuru asks
"Well a trade and technology alliance not a full on defensive pact." Gazel corrects
"That seems correct we need some trade to get currency...." Rimuru mutters since he was talking with Kaijin earlier today about selling his magic potion.
"Your majesty did you sneak out of the castle again!" Kaijin shouts running up.
"My gaurds are slacking, when I get back I should retrain them." Gazel says
"N-no to have the king as their training partner..." Kaijin mutters fearfully.
"Did you says something Kaijin?" Gazel asks
"No your majesty." Kaijin answers
"Nya, still the same battle manic as always nya." Nekra says with a nod.
"Those stealth techniques you taught me were to good." Gazel says
"I taught you those?" Nekra asks with a head tilt.
"I don't think you did, but he observed you enough to figure out how to do it." Yuki says
"Nya that makes sense." Nekra says with a small nod.
"Alright." Rimuru says holding out her hand.
"Great!" Gazel says shaking Rimuru's hand.
"For your first gift." Gazel says as he suddenly runs into the woods coming back out with what looks like a blood red rolled up carpet.
"Is that a dead body?" Rimuru asks
"It smells alive nya." Nekra says
"It's Vesta, after the stunt he pulled I kinda couldn't keep him as a minister anymore. So I brought him over. Hey wake up!" Gazel shouts lightly kicking the blanket rug thing with his foot.
"That's all you have to say? " brought him over."" Rimuru says dumbfounded.
"Y-your majesty!?" Vesta shouts upon waking up.
"I want you to help research stuff with the slime here." Gazel says
Vesta nods.
"We have a research agreement so anything you discover I also get. So server me as best you can." Gazel says with a smile.
"YES YOUR MAJESTY!!" Vesta shouts crying from happiness.
