After her confession to Ava, Kara hadn't nearly said a word at all to her. She was more distant and rather unemployable to any of the conversations they usually had together.
Though Ava tried had to bring her back to the woman she had met before, she couldn't do much. She hardly wanted to raise Kara's hopes of ever getting into a relationship with her.
No matter how hurting she made her feel, the decision about dating Martha still stood.
She had never detailed the reason why she couldn't get into a relationship with Kara and neither did she explain it to her the moment Kara gave in.
She rather took a stroll to start wooing Martha.
To Martha, it was a pleasure knowing that Ava was interested in her. She had already fallen at first sight but had no idea about Kara's feelings towards Ava and neither did Kara ever show them again since the say.
Two days before Halloween, Ava had asked Martha out already and they were dating.
Given into a supposed overthrow towards her feelings. Kara had realized and released all Hopes deciding to fit in with the two.
Early morning Halloween eve, Martha had spent the night at Ava's cottage.
Slumbering at the couch together with Ava after a long night play.
Kara woke up rather excited waking them up to a scream.
"Happy Halloween eve. lovey dovies." Clapped them out of their rest. "Good morning to you two."
"Good morning Kara." Denoted Martha who was smooching Ava up.
Staring away with jealousy, Kara headed to the kitchen setting on a pot of coffee.
"Will you guys have breakfast?" Questioned she.
"Good morning Kara." Said Ava walking towards the kitchen.
"Hi. Hope your night was fantastic. " responded Kara.
"Sure. It was. Had a great night thanks to Martha. "
"What is for the day?" Asked Martha tagging into the kitchen as well grabbing Ava in the waist through the back.
"What did you guys want to do. More decorations perhaps?" Inquired Kara.
"Don't you think you've done alot decors by yourself the past days. Just feels like you no longer want to spent time with us. " pointed Martha innocently.
"No. I just want to feel the Halloween vibes around me. Why wouldn't I want to spent time with my two friends?" Replied Kara.
"I wanna take a shower. Can we head on. Take a shower with me?"inquired Ava from Martha changing the subject toiling at how it would end up.
"Sure. Let's head on. I would love too." Replied Martha holding on to Ava's hand as they headed into the bedroom.
Kara picked the pot of coffee and poured a cup for herself trying to get distracted from the flashing water and chuckles in the bedroom.
After a while, Ava and martha came out of the bedroom finding a frown gaze on Kara's face.
"Hey. You alright?" Asked martha curiously.
"Yeah. What should we do?"
"Let's go to the city town and have something to eat. The three of us. Then the festival in the night. " Explained Ava.
"Sure. Let's head on then." Replied Ava.
As they arrived the cafeteria, Kara rushed and picked up a single stool at the counter immediately asking for a drink.
"Are you supposed to drink?" Questioned the bar tender behind the counter.
"Yes. Please get me a glass of whiskey. "
"Hey. Are you to seat with us at the table?" inquired Ava.
"Oh... can't remember the last time I sat at this table. You guys can go on and have fun together." Responded She.
"I'm sorry Kara. Honestly." Stated Ava as Martha took her by the hand to the window table.
"That's how she's always been. Quite someone." Pointed Martha.
"Okay."
They all sat and ordered for what they wanted. It was so obvious that Kara was jealous exceptionally with the way she gazed at the two laughing.
"Shall we." Asked Ava noticing the weird looks on Kara's face.
They moved out of the store walking clumsily through the road when suddenly, they crushed into Ben.
"Ben! Snapped Kara with a splendid smile.
"Hello Kara. How are you? How are you Ava?" Greeted he missing out on Martha.
"Hello." Responded Martha smiling. "Don't say you didn't notice me here. Is it so long that you even forgot about me." She stated.
"Don't start with that Martha." Requested Ben starring at her. "Where are you spending your Halloween?" Inquired he from Kara.
"At the festival of course. I wouldn't want to miss it. " replied Kara.
"See you there then, I'm hoping we do grab a drink. Just the two of us. I know you girls are coming too." Muttered he walking away.
It was a clear destruction for Kara as an idea. She did think of it as having a better time without getting jealous of the two love birds.
"Would you really go out for a drink with Ben?" Inquired Martha defyingly when Ava responded.
"I think it would be a really good idea. You need this Kara. Don't even think about it twice. You're seeing Ben at the festival. " in return, Kara perceived Ava's comment as a throw away so she just smiled and headed into the truck.
Martha headed on behind living Ava with risen eyebrows questioning Kara's reaction.
For she hoped that if Ben could give her a better night that Halloween, then her joy it would be.
They rode the whole way back home in silence and no matter how hard Martha tried to cheer up the environment, it was already polluted. Kara sat in the back fouled and when ever Ava would look into the front mirror, kara would turn away her eyes.
"I will drop you home first Martha." Mumbled Ava.
'I would love to stay for the night though." Responded Martha.
"Yeah. I would like it if you stayed too but Kara and I need to talk. In a quiet place. Just the two of us."
"Okay. I won't insist. Thank you for dropping me off though. I appreciate it." Thanked Martha.
"The pleasure is mine."
When they arrived Martha's home, Ava led out her seat and when to open up for Martha. They kissed goodnight and she waited until Martha was inside the house then led back into the car driving home.
