Chapter 24: 3!

I sat there for quite some time, not even taking in what had just been said. My mind was lost at the moment, as I was wondering how I had even gotten to this point in the first place. It all came back to me at the same instance though.

I was not quite sure why Starclan would always let things like this happen to me. It seemed that any time I tried to do anything with a good intent, that was when something bad tended to happen. The cats with an evil intent as well, they seemed to have perfecntly good things happen to them.

I never understood, how, and why that tended to go that way. I had noticed it more than once through out my life as well. I shook my head though, as I realized what I had just heard that cat, Owl had just said at the same time as well.

He had said that he saw "him", I had to assume that they were talking about me as well. Not that I was anything special, but I was in fact the leader of Windclan. I then felt a slight little breeze at the same time, as I felt the wind flow through the cracks of the rocks.

There was a reason that it was called Windclan after all I suppose. It warmed me up, though it was fairly cool. It gave me hope though, and I knew that they were going to do anything, and everything in their power to get me out of this sticky situation.

That was the perks, of not just being a leader, but even a cat in the clans. We would do that to any other cat that would be stuck in a situation such as this one. After the few moments of silence had passed, I then heard the voice of Venom speak up quite loudly to the others, as if Owl was not the deputy, and he was not the one that should be making all of these decisions at the moment as well.

I kept my eyes closed, for the fear that I might get dust in them at the same time as well. Then I just sat there, and I waited to hear what it was that Venom had to say to each of the other cats that he was with. From what I knew, was that there was 4 of them.

"We gotta get him out! He might still be alive in there!" He said loudly to all of the others, pointing out the obvious, but the obvious was clearly what the others needed to hear, as none of them had done a thing to help me yet. I was in so much pain, I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

I stayed still for a few more moments, trying to show them any signs that I was still alive, but I was stuck too hard, it was impossible for me to give them just the slightest itch. If I did that as well, they might think that I was dead and it was a natural reaction that I body did when it passed on.

I shook out all of those thoughts though, as I waited, and then I began to hear the frantic scratching of them trying to pull off all of rocks that were on top of me. I stayed there, as some of the rocks that they began to pull off, seemed to make the pain even worse.

I did not say anything though, as I knew they were just helping me. Not that I could say anything about it to them in the first place. I just sat for a while, and kept trying to hold in all of the pain that was taking over me. But at the same time I could feel that the rocks were getting looser and looser.

Then they stopped tearing down the rocks that were on them. I was a bit confused as to what was going on at the moment. Did they think that I was dead? Surely they would not just give up on me like that, right?

I thought of ways to let them know that I was still alive. Then something came to mind, as I then began to move my body. But for some odd reason or another, I could not... Was I paralyzed? I was beginning to get more and more scared by every passing moment.

I shook those thoughts off though, as I knew if I was paralyzed, then I would not feel the wind flowing through my body like I did. I was just not sure why I could not move any part of my body at the moment. It scared me, but I did my best to stay calm.

After a few more moments of silence from all of the others, I then heard one of the cats finally begin to speak up, just to calm me down that they had not just decided to leave me when they were so close to pulling me out of this mess. I listened to who it was that had began to speak.

"Is he... Is he dead? That is a big rock on his head, he is not moving..." The she cat, Shrivel said to the rest of them. I closed my eyes a bit harder, as I was not so sure why she was so easily ready to give up on me so often. I suppose it was best not to think about it.

After a few more seconds, I heard the footsteps of one of the cats, as it began to get just a slight bit closer to me. I sat there for a few more moments, a bit confused as to what it was that they were doing right now. I wish I could open my eyes and see, but I knew that the big boulder was still on my head.

I then suddenly felt the warmth of another cat, as it put itself against my fur, and it also began to calm me down at the same time as well, as I had in fact been quite a bit freaked out too. Then I heard the voice of the cat begin to step up and speak.

"No... Hes alive, though I think he is unconscious... I am not sure how we are going to pull him out of that big rock though." Silent said to the others, and then I heard his voice as his head had turned over in my direction at the last part as well.

I was beginning to get a bit frustrated at the same time as well, as I was a bit tired of being stuck in this one spot that I had been in for quite a while now. I knew it was not their fault though, as I was not even sure how big the rock was on my head in the first place.

I had to guess that it was fairly big, based on how much it was crushing in on my head, feeling even more painful now that the rest of my body was free. If only they knew that I was in fact not passed out. I shook it off though, as I then heard the voice of my deputy, Owl, begin to speak up to the others.

"All 4 of us are going to have to try as hard as possible to pull it off of him." He said to the rest of them. I seemed to feel the sense of them nodding to one another at the same time as well, as though they had all understood what he was getting at.

Then I heard their paw steps, as they all began to walk past all of the other rocks that were around the area that I was stuck in. I stayed there for a bit longer, as I then began to get my hopes up at the same time. Maybe there was some sort of way out of the situation that I had gotten myself stuck in to.

For a few more moments, I then sat there, as I waited for them to go on ahead and make their move. Just as I thought that, I heard, and felt a slight bit of a rumble on the large rock that was stuck upon my head. I heard all of their heavy breaths at the same time as well.

Then there was silence for a bit longer, as I heard them begin to try one more time, though it seemed to not do very much, besides the fact that it made it seem like the rock that was on top of me was feeling even more painful than it had been not too long ago.

I wanted to scream in pain, but I did not have enough air in my lungs in order to even be able to do that in the first place. I heard the heavy breathing that was coming from all of them, as it was clear to me that they had tried their best, but it just had only seemed to budge a little bit.

After the others then managed to catch their breath, after trying to pull the rock off, that was on top of my head, I then heard one of the cats begin to speak at the same instance. I was doing my best to listen, but the pain in my head seemed to be getting worse at the same time, so it was quite hard for me to hear what the tom cat had to say.

"It doesn't seem to be doing much, maybe we need to get some more cats to try and help us pull him out. Maybe even ask for Riverclan if needs be... Is Moon not friends with their leader?" I heard Venom say over to Owl clearly, who was obviously the leader in all of this.

I could still tell that Owl was trying to regain his breath, as it seemed that he was trying harder than the rest of them to pull me out of the rock that was on top of my head. After a few more moments, he then finally began to speak back to Venom.

"We can do that... But I think first we have to try one more time... But this time it needs to be in correlation." He said to the rest of them. I understood right away what he was getting at, though it seemed that none of the others seemed to get what it was that he was trying to say.

As Owl had not continued to speak to the rest of them. I could almost see that all of the others were looking around at each other, wondering what it was that Owl had been talking about. Sure enough as well, I then heard Shrivel speak up for the rest of them.

"I'm not sure if I understand what it is that you are getting at..." She said to him. I could almost feel the slight bit of frustration coming from Owl at the same time as well. I had already been stuck here for a while, and for all he knew I could be suffocating.

It sure felt like I was suffocating as well, as each passing moment, it felt like it was getting harder and harder for me to breath. I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, I was in such pain and agony, I did not even know how to explain it. I thankfully then heard Owl begin to speak up, and tell them his plan.

"Like this... We all need to push on 3!" He yelled at all of them, not in anger, but to make sure they all knew what he was getting at now. I heard them scramble around a little bit, until they got into place. Once they had done that as well, I then heard Owl begin to speak again. "1... 2... 3!"
