New Bonus

My new discovery about my class was quickly interrupted by another notification in my status bar.

- "Ability Upgrade: Amplitude Knockout>>Sonic Strike"

I went to the ability description and read it.

- "Sonic strike: Sends out a piercing waves of sound that deal damage based on max hp and causes daze which causes players and monsters to be unable to move or attack for 2 seconds."

"That's actually a pretty good move" I thought to myself.

Suddenly Alessa burst in.

"I heard a loud noise, what the hell happened here?!" she said.

"Oh, uh..." , All three of the netters had fallen back causing a mess in the restaurant.

Suddenly the level 1 girl said "It was because of me, these guys tried to get me to farm for them, he was just helping out."

I had completely forgotten that she was there in the spur of the moment.

"Fine then, it won't be too hard to clean this up", Alessa remarked.

We both sat down and the girl then spoke up again, "Thanks a lot, those guys weren't even letting me play, they had killed me 5 times already."

"Do you know them?", I asked.

"Yeah." she said. She didn't give any info beyond that.

"Hey, those guys are probably going to try to get revenge so can I stick with you for some time?", she asked.

The question kind of caught me off guard as I was mostly thinking about the "HERO" class, but we agreed to party up and friended each other. Her username was Aurora.

At this point I decided that the specifics of my class were pretty hazy. I knew that I could level up by saving people and that I could level up pretty fast. However saving people in a game seemed pretty stupid. What was I supposed to save them from? I decided to keep that thought out of my head and focus on the other aspect. The ability upgrade. I didn't actually use my abilities that much in the game. The abilities were good and could be useful in situations, however during combat I always stuck to weapons. My dagger and a revolver.

I would always use them in combination and no matter how weird some people thought it was it worked very well. Use my dagger in close range and revolver for long shots.

Suddenly Max burst in the restaurant.

"How did you level up so fast oli-" he cut himself short when he saw Aurora. Revealing your name in an online game wasn't safe. " I mean Kami." he recovered. "Oh that." I responded. "I'll tell you later" I remarked. "I want to fight something" I said and dragged him and Aurora out of the restaurant.

"What about the squid?" Alessa asked.

"I'll have it some other time" I said knowing I would still be paying the money.

As we went out Max asked "so who's your new friend?"

"I'm Aurora" Aurora responded. "Kami sort of saved me from some guys and now we're partying together."

"Oh..." Max responded.

Max was always shy around new people but my mind was barely on what they were saying. I had a theory that I wanted to test out and if it worked than the "HERO" class might not be so bad after all.

We made our way to a level 30 dungeon.

"Hey Kami, this is a level 30 dungeon, you sure you want to go here?" Max asked.

"I'm absolutely sure", I said as we made our way to the first floor.

If anything were to go wrong we still had Max who was level 50 so no problems.

Suddenly we heard a loud roar.

A giant blizzard bear* came out into the opening. It was level 61.

"Wait, that doesn't make sense" Max said. "That shouldn't be here."

"Well, a lot of things aren't making sense today. We're just going to have to deal with it" I responded as we dodged it's first attack.

*Blizzard Bear-A bear monster among the elemental bear family that can control snow and ice.
