Chapter 14: Big boss

Xi bie sat leisurely on one of the sofas in the living room munching softly on her instant noodles.

     " Hey sweetheart" Shen fie said jokingly as she entered the living room trying to change to her home slippers.

     " Hi" Xi bie replied

  " Where the hell have you been?" Shen fie asked curious as she sat down.

  " Stuck with a Greek god" Xi bie replied playfully as she stood up to take the remote.

    " Wow! Tell me about it" Shen fie asked itching for gossip.

   Xi bie pressed the remote control and a news appeared on the wall mounted TV in the room.

    " The identity of the big boss of Xu Industry has always been kept low profile, unexpectedly today, the management suddenly held an emergency press conference and his identity will be revealed".

Now the media appeared and we have few minutes before the press conference officially open.

Xi bie starred blankly at the screen in shock dropping her instant noodles.

Shen fie gave her a confused look

   " You look pale Xi bie is everything ok? Do you know him?".

   " En.."Xi bie said as she face palmed herself.

    What have I done.

  " Hey pull yourself together, how come you know this big shot, you came back to the country few weeks ago... Don't Tell me you already had a one night stand "

  Xi bie looked up coldly " Shen fie!"

Shen fie shuddered at her tone.

    " Must you be this cold?" Shen fie said sulking

  Xi bie starred at her friend and smiled warmly " okay am sorry, this so called big shot dropped me off today"

  " What!!" Shen fie asked as she starred back at the screen.

The reporters began to question the development of the Xu Industry.

Xu beichen answered them flawlessly and elegantly with a strong aura.

A reporter raised his mic and asked.

    " Young master Xu, now that you have been shown to the public to fully take over your father's position, I believe many women out there would like to be the next matriarch of the Xu family, can you tell us the criteria for choosing a wife?".

Xu beichen smiled coldly at the camera

    " Unparalleled"

  " What!..... " The reporters were stunned at even Lu yen was in the same position.

Does young master knows what he is talking about? For a woman to be unparalleled..

Lu yen starred at his master .

He must be drunk.. how is miss Xi unparalleled..she is just an actress that can't even kill a mosquito.

The reporter asked again without being satisfied " young master Xu is you and miss Mu going to get engaged soon.

Lu yen was shocked at this question.

Was this man seeking death.

Lu yen cleared his throat and said

  " Sorry that's the end of today's press conference, young master has a lot to do"

With that Xi beichen and Lu yen with some other board members walked elegantly out of the press conference.

  " Find out who that reporter is and shut down their station" Xu beichen said coldly as he walked out without waiting for reply.

After the press conference, both Xi bie and Shen fie were stuck on their seat.

Shen fie was the first to break the silence.

   " Bie bie hey you are drooling" Shen fie patted her head slightly.

Xi bie jolted out of her thoughts and smiled mockingly. She just met and flirted with the great demon king.

Shen fie was so curious that she bothered Xi bie the whole afternoon until she told her the whole story.

    " Wow!" Shen fie covered her mouth slightly staring at Xi bie in shock

  " Hey don't give me that look okay? I was drunk". Xi bie said rolling her eyes.

   " Really ..tell me you enjoyed it" Shen fie said with tease.

    " Hm...can't say" Xi bie said with a flushed face.

    " Love in the air" Shen fie said with tease.

Xi bie was about to scold her when her phone rang out loud.

    " Hey George" Xi bie said in fluent English.

   " Hi Phoebe".

   " Whats up? How is my little moe?" Xi bie asked curiously.

" He is good not yet back from school" George replied her back.

     " Alright".

" You have a concert at Z city". George said as Xi bie widen her eyes in shock.

   " Really? I told you I don't want any concert in Z city, as my music manager , you ought to seek my opinion before you sign any contract"Xi bie said angrily.

  " Phoebe trust me it's cool, I could have just declined but you weren't chosen for the role, so I wanted you to see what a opening ceremony looks like in Z city" George said trying to convince her.

    " So it's an opening ceremony for a movie at Z city?"Xi bie asked still confused.

" Yeah Director Zhang yimou's  movie, I think the promise, the one you told me you were auditioning for" George replied.

   " Ya! What if I got in ?" Xi bie asked furiously.

      Why do I have to go.

" Calm down Phoebe, your son wanted to see you, he misses you a lot" George said and Xi bie's heart softened.

  " Alright fine when is it?" Xi bie said rolling her eyes .

   She was only doing this for her son.

" In two weeks time" George said.

   " Alright tell nishan mummy misses him a lot" Xi bie said as she cuts the call.

Shen fie stare at best friend in awe.

Since when has she learn to speak English fluently.

    " Hey what's with that look?' Xi bie asked changing her language back to Mandarin Chinese.

      " You learnt English?"

Xi bie smirked " I learnt several things".

  " Wow! That's cool" Shen fie stared at her in admiration.

  " Stop giving me that look" Xi bie said.

" I can't believe am sitting with Hollywood Phoebe eating floor instant noodles in my living room" Shen fie said laughing.

    " Whatever " Xi bie said as her mind flashed back to the earlier news.

     What have I done ....

  " Bie bie the new audition is tomorrow" Shen fie said jolting her out of her thoughts .

  " Oh Good am tired of studying that script already" she said as she stood up to go to her room.

Somewhere in B Country.

   " Master someone stole the orb of celestial" the disciple said shivering unable to look directly at his master's face.

    " What did you just say?" The man with icy gaze and looks that could destroy the universe replied him.

   " Master..... am sorry..... we tr...ied... to st

...op t..he.. thie..f, my t..eam and.. I but this one ma..n over to....ok us " the disciple said stuttering.

" Ha ha ha". The man piercing and cold laughter echoed round the pillars of the room and the other disciples felt the whole world is about to crumble.

   " Just one man" the cold man added .

Who dares steal master's orb of celestial. The cold man signalled to the disciple at his right and Immediately the disciple that came with the reports head was cut off.

All: "....."

The man turned to the rest and they felt that their souls have been ripped off their body.

     " I will give you all twenty four hours to find that bastard else..."

They scrambled off before the man finished speaking.
