Another day came as it marked my third day here in this world, seeing that there were no improvements on my mana body I came looking for Sir Willy in the barracks.
"Young Lord, seeing that you're eager to learn swordsmanship. You must first build your body. Your petite body would be a disadvantage in a fight. We must build your muscles first and stamina."
Sir Willy instructed me to do push-ups and run a few laps around the training ground. Everyone there saw me working hard. I panted after a few hours seeing that my stamina had gone done a lot.
Ding.
[Stamina Increased by 1]
[Strength Increased by 1]
Training hard reaped benefits but it was too tiring when comparing to leveling up. Just like that, I was growing stronger and I could protect myself in the future.
Sir Willy then suggested we fight and told me to attack him with all I've got. In the training ground, there was a small ring just for fights so we moved there.
"Young Lord, seeing that you have a grasp on attacking an opponent. You can attack me without holding back. Let us do this every day so that you can see the flaws in your swordsmanship."
Sir Willy and I stared at each other. He gripped his sword raising his sword with his right hand and the tip pointing upwards. I gripped my sword as well preparing to attack. With less than 6 metes apart. I dashed forward with sword in hand. I slashed from the right only to be easily blocked. I slashed again from the left yet again blocked. I realized that I only have the Slash Skill during this fight. I did this for more than ten times and saw my stamina dropping. I panted from that short exchange. I saw myself missing quite a few things that needed to be done in order to improve myself.
"Young Lord, have you learned something from that?"
"Yes, I am still lacking compared to Sir Willy."
"Yes, Swordsmanship isn't all about attacking. Swordsmanship is also how well you can defend yourself, Counter the opponent, Feint and trick them so that it would allow you to have an advantage over them. Swordsmanship is complex yet simple if you master it then you can protect yourself."
Lunch came and I sat down with everybody else. I looked at the seat of my father and it was currently unoccupied. They told me that he was preparing for the arrival of the guests later. I finished my meal then rested at my room trying again circulating the mana inside of me.
As I did that I felt the mana inside my body passing every organ and part from head to toe. I felt really good making me addicted to it for some reason. I tried directing it to my palm to see if I could form something that I would be able to use. My mind was thinking if I could shoot fireballs or something similar. It did not work. I did not have anything that would of help. The excess mana in the palms scattered back to my body. I tried using it with my eyes to see if it would make a difference. I did not know that I had gone doing it for hours. I tried over and over again I heard the notification.
Ding.
[You have obtained Mana Sense(Visual) Lvl. 1]
Seeing that it had the description of visual I used and looked at my surroundings seeing no particular changes except for a dim blue-mist that was floating in the air.
"Mana! I can see mana now!"
The amount was little so seeing it like that made me conclude that the mana here cannot support individual training to become a magician. It made sense now that people had a hard time becoming one and practice to use magic.
Leo was doing exploration in this world trying to understand everything before he was confident in his self when leaving the castle.
I was ecstatic about what was developing. Seeing that directing mana throughout my body can have such improvements I can only try and try again to see what would happen.
Knock. Knock.
"Benedict?"
"Young Lord, the Duke your father has asked you to ready yourself. Our guests would arrive shortly. I suggest you take a quick bath to remove the dirt on your body. We must always be presentable."
I washed with water then donned a new set of clothes that was prepared beforehand for this special occasion. It was colored green exuding a form of grandness. It had the insignia of our house. When I came outside the room, I saw Benedict waiting for me but when I looked at him there was a Level indicated at the top of his head.
[Benedict, Butler. Lvl. 30]
Isn't this becoming more and more like a game now? Don't tell me Benedict is an NPC?
"Young Lord, is something wrong?"
Benedict was confused as Leo was staring at the top of his head. So he motioned with his arms trying to touch with his hands if there was something on top of it.
"Ahh. Nothing's wrong. I just thought something then stared into space."
Benedict walked with me then heard the festive music being played in the Dining Hall. There were a lot of unknown faces when I entered. I did not recognize them seeing that they were wearing armors that were not the same as ours. It must be the knights of the Duke of Firoria. I checked everyone and the levels were pretty much the same ranging from level 20-25.
My Father saw and motioned that I came to him. Seeing that he was talking to someone as tall as him wearing Golden-Red armor with a white cape dangling from his back. He had crimson hair and radiated with power. Beside him, there was a beautiful girl that also had crimson hair and golden eyes with a pale complexion and a white dress that was dressed for the occasion that matched her beauty. When she saw me, a fierce look was directed at me. I did not even know what I did.
[Duke of Windoria, Level 50]
[Duke of Firoria, Level 50]
[Elizabeth, Level 15]
What Fifteen? Her? I'm only Level 2. I cried inside.
"Son, let me introduce to you the Duke of Firoria and his daughter."
Before I could even introduce my self. I heard a shout from the side of the Duke saying,
"I want to cancel the engagement with this loser!"
Both Dukes were startled but Duke Firoria recovered fast meaning that he knew the sentiments of his daughter. The music played stopped and every one of here had their attention on us.
