Kirishima and Kaminari had taken turns in observing the Bakugou's kitchen, using the tiny camera Kaminari had attached above the kitchen window and Kaminaris laptop. Up until now, all they had seen was Bakugou making meals and cleaning the kitchen.
Up until now.
They heard screaming for a while, eerie silence, then someone storming down the stairs. The front door was slammed shut and incoherently muffled words were audible. Now, the kitchen door opened and Bakugou entered. They couldn't see his face, because he had his head hung unusually low.
Bakugou walked over to the table and slopped down into one of the chairs. When he dropped his head onto the backrest, his face was finally visible. Along with the two tears running out of his bloodshot eyes. He put one arm over his arms to dry them, then it was like an earthquake went through Bakugous whole body.
He put his forehead down onto the table and covered his head with his arms, his shoulders shaking violently. Occasionally, low sobs were audible. All Kirishima and Kaminari could do was stare. Never had they experienced Bakugou like this, and it made them uncomfortable. What could be terrifying enough to make Bakugou cry?
They had only one answer: Midoriya.
It hurt the two boys that they couldn't help their friend. Not only would Bakugou never let them, but he'd also know they had been observing him somehow if they let him know they knew he had cried. They were stuck watching from the other side of the screen.
Bakugou stood up after a while and left the room. Just a few moments later, the whole room started shaking and muffled sounds of explosions were audible. The noise became louder, repeating quicker, like a machine gun. A few seconds of silence. Then it started again. This repeated for almost half an hour. Then everything became quiet.
Kaminari clutched his arms around himself with a painfully tense expression and earned a pat on the shoulder from Kirishima. Patiently watching people hurt just for gathering information was already hard, but it being their own best friend was even worse. But maybe, after being pushed this far, Bakugou would finally admit something was wrong.
Meanwhile, more fatal events were going down somewhere else…

When Todoroki opened the door to his room, a strange smell hit his nose. He turned towards the window to open it, but it was already wide open. He immediately churned to the other side and found Midoriya sitting on his futon. "Hey Todoroki. Nice room you got."
Todoroki stabled his stance a bit. "Midoriya. What are you doing in my house?" "I was hoping to talk to you." Midoriya gave him a slight smile, but it didn't compose Todoroki the slightest. He had a bad feeling, and he usually trusted those. "And that's why you had to break in."
Midoriya chuckled calmly, but it had a cold undertone to it he didn't manage to hide from Todoroki. "I didn't break in. I entered where an opening was." Then his expression became blank. "Did you decide whom you'll trust?" "Yes, and it's certainly not you." Todorokis voice was icy.
The pale boy in front of him dropped his head to the side. "May I ask why?" He didn't seem to be thrown off the slightest. Todoroki exhaled heavily. "I'm very sure you've been stalking me lately, and by law, you just broke into my house. That doesn't seem very trustworthy to me."
"That's sounds an awful lot like you decided just a second ago." Midoriyas voice didn't show any emotion. Todoroki was slowly becoming irritated. "It's been dawning for a while now. What is my opinion about you to you anyways? It's not like we're acquainted properly. You're acting quite uncivilized."
"You sure are different from most people. Calm, rational and perceptive. I like that." Midoriya gave Todoroki an almost contemptuous smirk. Todoroki furrowed his eyebrows in return. "You won't compliment yourself onto my good side." "I wasn't trying to." Midoriyas expression was blank again.
He stood up, walked over to Todoroki and harshly cupped the heterochromic boy's cheeks. "I hope for the both of us that you do the right thing. And please take this as a well-meant wish rather than a threat." Having said that, Midoriya made his way to the window.
Todoroki was like frozen. Something in him was extremely shaken up. Midoriya throwing a glance over his shoulder and murmuring "Aloof. That's the word I was searching for" just irritated him even more.
Midoriya was a difficult person, maybe even more difficult than he was. And Todoroki almost wished the strange boy would open up to him.

…Somehow I want Mr. Pretty Face to smile at me. But that's probably not meant to happen.
He's too good. I would be wasting a lot of time on him this way.
Guess I'll switch to the hard way, then.
But Todoroki, why? Things could've been easier for the both of us.
Especially because I'm not even sure if I enjoy this…

Fate was the most malicious of changelings.
And it would only keep destroying.
