Chapter 47

A knock at the door of a place noone should know about.

It was opened and a figure like a gunshot entered the small, pub-like room. All eyes were on him. "Hey Toga! Missed me?" The cat-eyed girl stood up. "Who…?" When the figure entered the dim light and took their mask off, she understood. "Izuku?" The curly-haired teenager flicked his tongue. "I go by Deku now."

Togas eyes narrowed. "Didn't I kill you a few years ago? What's this supposed to mean, Izu-chan?" "Ew, don't call me that. I'll throw up." Deku sighed. "Apparently, I survived. Anyways, I'm not here for you. This time." His eyes shot around the room. "Is Dabi here? I got a bone to pick."

A door in the back of the room opened. "Who wants what from me?" Dabi entered the room and spotted Deku. "Oh. The scaredy cat of a middle schooler." Deku snickered. "Oh, the six-piece Chicken McNobody." Toga chimed in. "I slit your fucking stomach open, how are you not dead?!"

Deku didn't even look at her. "Shut up, discount Ayano. Dabi, I need to talk to you. In private." The black-haired villain came over to the pale boy. "And exactly why should I? You got something to hide?" Deku lowered his voice. "Just come on. Walls got eyes and ears in here, and it wouldn't be beneficial for either one of us if the others heard."

Dabi stayed silent for a moment. Then he sighed. "Alright, kiddo. Waste my time then." Both ravenets left the room. Deku lead Dabi to the end of an alleyway next to the villain hideout. He leaned against the wall, tapping his fingers on his thigh. Dabi crossed his arms. "Well, the hell do you want?" Deku stared up to him with an uninterpretable expression. "Shouto Todoroki. Your little brother." "What's with him?" Dabi became tenser by the moment.

Deku lifted his head. He seemed to be staring down on Dabi, although he was a good two heads smaller than the pierced villain. "I've taken a bit of a liking in him. He's so… hm, interesting." Dabi dropped his arms again and stabled his stance. His instincts told him this was a game of intimidation.

He smirked lightly. "Is that why you stalked the U.A. for a while, little one?" Deku raised his eyebrows, keeping his cool. "So you've been stalking me, scorched one?" "People whispered you survived Toga. Thought I'd check out what kind of guy you were. But you seem to have changed. More a villain than an innocent boy now, huh?"

Deku straightened up and started walking around Dabi. "What can I say? I'll do whatever it takes to stay alive. We seem to have that in common. More like the dark path chose us than the other way around." Dabi chuckled, not turning with Dekus steps. "Are you trying to put us on one level, rugrat? I might be a good ten years older than you." His expression dropped. "And what does that have to do with Shouto?" Deku stopped in front of him. "I need emotional vulnerability towards me from him. And his weak spot… family. Especially you."

Dabi set his right hand on fire. "No matter with which one of us you mess, you mess with the family. Just warning you, child." Deku just smiled at the insult. "That was uncalled for. But if you really think I'm a child, I'm at least a child with a knife." He pulled his knife out and started playing with it.

"Am I supposed to be scared or something? Sorry, but your efforts are wasted on me." Dabi grinned widely. Deku kept playing, staring right into Dabi's blue eyes. "No. I don't want you to be scared of me. Others, maybe." He narrowed his eyes. "It's a shame though. Your personality really is wasted on you. You're quite a cool guy, too bad you happen to be double boy's brother."

Dabi's flames flickered higher. "Are you threatening me now? What's the meaning of this, kid? You keep provoking without acting. You make no sense. What's your goal?" Deku stepped closer, a sphinxlike smile on his face. "You." He caught the knife. "But a little less alive."

Dabi cast fire onto Deku, but he was a split second too late. The blade was already right through his stomach. Blood spilled out of Dabi's mouth and stomach when Deku pulled the knife upwards, dying his white shirt red. The younger male didn't seem to be bothered by his burning jacket. Finally, he pulled his knife out of Dabi's stomach and pushed him over.

To Dekus dissatisfaction, Dabi was still breathing. He went down into his knees, searched for a certain spot on Dabi's torso with the tip of his knife and rammed it directly into Dabi's heart. More blood spilled out of Dabi's mouth and his two wounds, then it was over.

Deku took his half-burned jacket off and dropped it onto the corpse. "Your quirk might've been fire, but matches burn too, don't they?" He savored the image of hair, skin and cloth burning in the blue fire. "What a nice little tragedy I've started. This will be fun to watch."

He suddenly heard steps. "Dabi? Izu-chan? What's taking you so long? Shigaraki wants his attack dog back." Togas blonde buns showed up around the corner. For a few seconds, no reaction came from her. Then she hissed. "You killed Dabi?! YOU KILLED O-NII-SAN?! I will make a pudding out of your blood and eat it for dinner!"

Deku just flashed a smug smile, pulled his mask on again, jumped onto a trash container and vanished over the back wall of the alleyway, the remaining League of Villains soon following hard on him.

What a lovely little mess he had caused. He was proud of himself.
