I grabbed the letter and opened the red wax seal on the front. I pulled out the piece of parchment and read allowed seeing as I was alone.
"Meet us at the edge of the forbidden forest. Fred and George. I can't even find my way to my classes how am I supposed to find that?" I groaned. As I turned around I was met with platinum hair.
"The forbidden forest?" Draco asked raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes.
"Do you know how to get there?" I asked.
"I will tell you only if you let me and Blaise come along." He said. I sighed. I'm not sure how the twins would feel about it but I want to hang out with them, so I guess Draco is my only hope.
"Fine," I said. Draco smiled and quickly ran upstairs to get Blaise. About ten minutes later Blaise, who had clearly been asleep, walked down the stairs with Draco.
"What are we doing?" He asked his eyes still partially closed. I laughed.
"We are going to hang out with the twins," I said. Blaise immediately looked over at Draco who just shrugged his shoulders.
"As long as Potter isn't there I think I will be fine. The Weasley twins actually seem decent so I don't mind."
That was surprising, I would have assumed he would have said something rude because they're Weasly's.
"Plus, Briar seems to like them, and as we all know she has great taste in people." He smiled. Blaise and I laughed. We all quietly walked out of the common room and down the hallway.
-
We stood at the edge of the forest not moving. I looked for the twins but saw nothing.
"Where are they?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Maybe they forgot?" Draco said giving me a confused look. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Seriously Draco?" He shrugged his shoulders. I heard a twig snap in the woods and immediately turned back to the forest. With the amount of fog, I couldn't see a thing.
"Fred? George?" I called out.
"Hey Briar," Fred said walking out of the forest with George. They stopped and gave me a look.
"Come on guys, they're my friends. I got to know your brother and his friends, your turn." I said.
"Fine, well hurry up why don't you?" George said motioning for us to follow him.
We followed him for about ten minutes into the forest before we came upon a little green tent. I stopped.
"No offense guys, but that will hardly fit two people," I said laughing lightly.
"Briar, magic, remember that's a thing?" Fred said laughing when I blushed. He opened the zipper and we all filed in. Him and George sat down on the couch in the living room part of the tent. I sat across them on the chair, Draco and Blaise sat on the love seat. Draco immediately got up and pulled me up. He then sat in the chair forcing me to sit next to Blaise on the love seat.
"Aggressive much Draco?" I laughed.
"I am not sitting on something called a 'Love seat' with my best friend." He huffed causing all of us to laugh, including the twins.
"So, what're we doing here anyway?" I asked.
"Well, originally we had you and the trio come but they canceled because they were tired," Fred explained.
"So, we were going to just hang out with you but now you brought people. So we can play truth or dare." George said. I looked at them confused.
"Have you never played Truth or Dare?" Blaise asked. I shook my head no.
"Man you're more of a loser than I thought." Draco laughed. The twins shot him a look which Draco quickly took notice of. "It was a joke, I promise." He put his hands up. I laughed. "Jesus Hawkes, your guard dogs are angry tonight." He joked. This time the twins saw it as a joke and laughed along.
"Okay, so, how do you play?" I asked.
"Well, you ask someone a question and if they don't want to answer you have to give them something to do," George explained.
"Here, I'll start," Fred said. He turned to Draco. "Draco, who in this room do you think would die first?" He asked.
"You," Draco answered. Fred nodded and leaned back into the couch. Draco turned to Blaise. "Blaise, pick one of us to snog, not actually, just hypothetical," Draco said.
"That's not fair, there's only one girl." He whined.
"Then pick a guy if you wouldn't snog me," I said causing Blaise to turn beat red.
"That's not that I wouldn't snog you, I definitely would, I mean as a friend, wait that's worse." rambled on. Draco and the twins burst out laughing, I just smiled at Blaise who was now just staring at the floor.
"Hey it's fine, just uh you pick someone," I suggested.
"Ah, no, if he doesn't answer, a full answer, he must do a dare." Draco interrupted. I looked to the twins who just nodded their heads as if saying 'those are the rules'. "And I dare him to, kiss Briar." I whipped my head around to face Draco. I gave him a look that could kill.
"I-I'm sorry Briar, it's the rules." He said.
"Yeah, we would bend the rules but we enchanted the tent so if you broke the rules you couldn't leave," George said giving me an apologetic look.
"We thought it would make it more fun, sorry," Fred said giving me the same look as George had. I sighed and turned back to face Blaise.
I nodded and he leaned closer to me. He put his hand on my cheek and I started to blush. The room got really hot all of sudden. With his other hand, he grabbed my waist. He closed his eyes and I did the same. As our lips connected the room froze. His lips were soft and warm. I didn't want it to end, but it did, with the words of the twins.
"Um, please don't start shagging each other right here please," Fred said.
"We're still here," George added. Draco started laughing. Blaise and I pulled apart and I smiled at him. "Anyways, Blaise your turn,"
We all talked and had fun for another two hours before I forced everyone to go to bed. Draco, Blaise, and I said goodnight to the twins before sneaking back down to the dungeons. As I got into bed that night, I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss, I didn't like Blaise, did I? I couldn't tell, I had known him for only a few days. A classic love story, gross.
-
I woke up the next morning remembering that it was Saturday meaning I didn't have classes. I got out of bed and changed into some jeans and a black hoodie. I checked the time and saw I had missed breakfast so I went to see who was in the common room. I couldn't find anyone I knew so I left and wandered the halls till I found Hermione.
"Hermione!" I waved, I walked over to her. "Have you seen, the twins?" I asked.
"No, they're probably in the great hall." She suggested, I thanked her and headed to the hall. Hermione seems really nice but we just never clicked. Same with the boys in their little group. I got to know Neville and Luna fine, they are very interesting characters, I like them though.
As I walked into the great hall I scanned the room, I couldn't find the twins but I saw Blaise. I walked over and sat across from him. He was reading a book, I didn't bother to look at the name.
"Morning," I said, he looked up and had clearly not seen me before.
"Oh good morning. Hey uh, I want to talk to you privately." He said. I looked around the hall, hardly anyone was there, a few Hufflepuff's but that's it.
"There's no one here," I said.
"Okay, um so I know we've only known each other for like a few days but that kiss, I can't get it out of my head." I blushed. " And I think we really clicked, so I was wondering if you maybe, wanted to go out with me. Like on a date?" He asked blushing. I smiled.
"I haven't been able to stop thinking about it either, yes." I smiled. He and I sat there and talked. I know I hadn't known him very long but that's the point, we'll get to know each other. I think this year is going to be very interesting.
I started dating Blaise, The twins became like older brothers to me, and Draco became my best friend. The twins tried to get me closer with the trio but we just didn't click, We were friends just not that close. Blaise got the approval from the twins once he and I became a couple. The twins invited me to spend Christmas with them since my dad had a business trip over the holiday. I gladly took the invitation.
