Chapter 13: Visitor

"You look pale, Jiana," Jerich commented as soon as I hopped into his car.

I shaked my head to shake my thoughts as well. That's what Allanis also told me earlier. Only that that time, was because of Lucas. And now, probably because.... Well, yeah, still Lucas.

Never in my dreams that Lucas and Atgena will step up to that kind of thing. Well, I already foresaw that there will be something more between them rather than just the flirting. But not this! I didn't expected it that lust is the one between them and not like or love!

I don't look up to Lucas but you all know that when he's the topic, my system and mind goes ballistic.

And who knows? Maybe they did continued what was delayed as soon as I were out of that restroom.

"Are you okay?" Jerich asked me and snapped me out of my thoughts.

I jumped a little. "I'm fine," I said.

His brows furrowed. "You don't look okay, though,"

I glanced at him and thought of a convincing excuse. "I'm just tired. We did a lot of activities today and I ran through the campus to get here," I said.

He chuckled a little, convinced of what I said. He started driving home without saying anything.

Until now, our parents aren't yet home. They have been staying in the near province for their research and project for weeks now.

While our firstborn, Jedric lives independently on his penthouse in a near tower so he doesn't come here often. So it's only me, Jerich, and Joaquin's always present in our big mansion.

I am becoming dizzy each second as the scenes in that freaking comfort room flashed through my mind endlessly. And the fact that they didn't even notice that I was there because their too hungry for each other made me more uncomfortable.

I shit my eyes so tightly and got myself eaten by my soft, comfortable duvet. I let myself fall asleep so I could erase them in my memory.

It's a good thing that it's already weekend the next day so I woke up a bit late than usual.

But it didn't turned out good since Lucas flashed into my mind immediately. I groaned and knocked my temples multiple times.

After I settled down, I tied my hair into a high

ponytail and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

On my way down, I was debating with myself whether I should tell Allanis about it or not. But I feel like it's wrong if I would tell it to her. Her tongue is so slippery that she might spill to the whole class about Athena.

But I am like a ticking bomb if I will keep it all to myself.

I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. I walked past our entertainment room and I can hear laughter and conversations from boys and girls inside. It's probably my brothers and their friends.

I poured myself a glass of milk. I yawned and my eyes became a little teary so I wiped it away befor drinking.

I felt someone entered the kitchen so I turned around to see who it was but I accidentally coughed the milk outta my mouth when I saw Lucas.

My coughs continued so I assumed that I am bright red now. I turned my back to him to clean myself. He was watching at me as he laughed.

Why the hell is he here?!

I quickly checked my face if I have dirt or if I look like shit especially I just got out of bed.

"W-what are you doing here?" I asked him, still not over about what happened. I had another glimpse of his face and my mind flashbacked to yesterday.

I cursed myself inside of my head.

"Laughing at you?" he laughed even harder to the point that he had to hold onto his stomach for support.

My cheeks heated up. Because of what he said, I felt more and more embarrassed.

Wait.

I shouldn't be. In fact, he's the one who should be embarrassed because he was caught foreplaying yesterday!

"I am asking you. What are you doing here?" I asked, now serious, trying hard to cover up my embarrassment and uncomfortableness.

He didyanswered me, though. He just casually took a tall glass from our cupboard and filled it with warm water.

He drank from it without breaking our eye contact while smiling.

He looks so unbothered. It's like what happened yesterday was nothing to him. As if he doesn't care about what Althea or I would feel.

Or maybe he thought that I already forgot about it so he chose to shut his mouth so I wouldn't be remembered? Though, I'm pretty sure he's not that dumb to think of that as a reason.

My hair will only turn white and I still wouldn't forget about it!

Suddenly, Jedric appeared from the door. I was actuations not surprised that he's here now that we have visitors.

It's a good thing he came. Or else, the tension between me and Lucas will only grow and grow.

"Goodmorning, baby," my brother came near me and kissed my forehead. Lucas was still there, watching us.

I looked at my brother, asking through my look why there are people in our house.

He seems to get it so he spoke.

"Oh, sorry. I forgot to tell you that Lucas and his sister will pay a visit today," he said.

He then patted Lucas's shoulder and pointed him.

"This is Lucas. The one you've been asking me the last time," he said.

My jaw drop and I gave my brother a glare. I can't believe that he exposed me like that! Now I can't look at Lucas but I crossed my arms when I recovered from it slightly.

"What are they doing here?" I asked rudely and glanced at Lucas who is now wearing his poker face.

My brother gave me a death glare. As if he noticed that I am being impolite and

unwelcoming. But he still answered.

"Catch up, baby. Our parents' are together at that project so I decided to invite them here. Besides, it's Saturday," he said.

"And besides, some of their cousins and our friends are here," he added before we walked out of the kitchen.

But he added more. "And you're joining us,"

I panicked a little. I don't want to be in the same room with this prick so I have to come up with an excuse.

Then Allanis popped into my mind.

"I can't. I have to go... somewhere," I hesitated to have eye contact with my brother or even Lucas.

But when I looked at him for a second, he was smiling without humor. As if he knew that I was just making excuses.

I rolled my eyes.

I just hope my brother would let me out of the house.
