Chapter 73: Captain Narvaez

Through the sea of people inside the bar, I looked for my friends, hoping that I could already tell them that I'm calling it now a day. But seeing the place's current condition, I'm afraid it will take me some time to do so.

"No, thank you. I'll take the cab," I replied to Lucas in a monotone.

"You're drunk and it's one AM. You think I would let you commute your way home?"

"I don't know with you. But do you think I wouldn't take care of myself?" my tone had a hint of sarcasm as I continued to look for Clyde.

I heard Lucas breath a deep sigh. He also brushed his hair out of frustration. Then, he pulled me by the wrist and dragged me out of the noisy bar without my notice.
