Chapter Three

Nefertari found herself looking at the palace from afar with Mahad and Shimon since they had just reached outside of the village she had seen some stunning thing's before but nothing like the Pharaoh's palace and she would be calling it home from now on, she could feel herself shake a little it was still a lot to take in she had been so lost in thought that she jumped a little when Shimon patted her arm trying to help her calm down they both chuckled and she followed them into the village, also it was her first time ever seeing a village or being in one and she had to admit it was stunning on it's own as well she could't stop herself from looking this way and that way as they rode through the village she also could't help but hear a few thing's muttered as they passed the people who had parted to let them through and she had to fight a blush since she was only used to hearing nasty thing's about her though it was a nice change she snapped out of her thoughts as they reached the palace and she followed Mahad and Shimon through the gates of the palace and watched them close behind her, again she could't stop herself from looking around since it was more stunning on the inside than just the outside and she could just see the garden in the distance and they looked just as big as she was told, slaves hurried over to help her down from the horse as they helped Mahad and Shimon down they took the rains of the other horse from Mahad with her thing's on it's back and told them to place them in what would be her room for a while they bowed and left this was something else she was, going to have to get used to more than being the Pharaoh's wife and Queen.

"are you alright Nefertari?" Shimon asked snapping her out of her thoughts again.

"yes..it's just a lot to get used to and even more to take in.. also i can't seem to stop myself from shaking at the moment" she said as he took her hand.

"just nerves my dear and your right it is a lot to take in but don't worry i'll be right with you every step of the way since i am the Pharaohs advisor and after the wedding i'll be yours as well also you'll have Mahad and the other priests guiding you also" Shimon said.

"thank you i mean that" Nefertari said.

"you'll meet with the other priests first Nefertari then you'll be taken through to the throne room where you'll meet the Pharaoh after that if you wish one of the slaves will show you to your room so you can rest if you wish to" Mahad said.

She nodded and followed them into the palace she could't help but look around as she followed them it was just as stunning and grand as everything else she had to try and calm herself down as she walked after all what impression would she make when she meet the Pharaoh shaking like a leaf she had to pull herself together before that and before she meet the other priests, she snapped out of her thoughts when she stopped behind Mahad and Shimon they told her to wait here while they went to get the other's she nodded again not trusting her voice at the moment, once they were gone she lent against the cool stone wall trying to calm herself down her heart was thumping against her chest so hard again she thought it might just give out there and then so she had her eye's closed with her hand over her heart trying to get it to settle so when she opened her eye's again it was shock to see someone standing in front of her so close which did't help but once she calmed down she looked at the young girl in front of her she had large deep blue eye's and long dark brown hair that was a little spiky and she wore a small headdress and a dress that stopped above her knee's.

"i'm sorry i did't mean to scary you but i thought you might of been unwell or something with the way you were leaning against the wall like you were" she said.

"no it's ok...i'm just trying to calm myself down before i meet the Pharaoh's priests and the Pharaoh himself" Nefertari said showing a slight smile.

"wait so you would be...oh my i nearly gave the future queen a heart attack!" she said.

"it's ok really my name is Nefertari may i ask you yours" she said.

"oh yes it's Mana and pleased to meet you Nefertari i heard Mahad and Shimon talking about you as they passed me in the hall and so i wanted to see you for myself" Mana said.

"and what do you think?" she asked.

"i can tell just by looking at you Nefertari that your a good person with a kind heart and your very pretty though i'v never meet someone with pale skin or green eye's before or red hair like yours but different is good" Mana said smiling at her.

"you think so" Nefertari said finding herself smiling along with her.

"i know so and i have a feeling we'll be good friends to right" Mana said.

"i believe we will Mana" Nefertari said.

"Mana!" a voice snapped at her making her turn around.

"Mahad! i better get going bye Nefertari" Mana said more or less running out of the room through the door.

She could't help but chuckle a little at seeing that she guessed that Mana was't meant to be in here or speaking to or something like that anyway, she manged to stop chuckling when Mahad came back into the room and he was't alone these had to be the other priests with him the one next to him looked to be around the same age as him, he was dressed in a long white and blue tunic with a matching headdress which had a golden serpent and other parts as well he seemed to be carrying some sort of golden rod with him like the item Mahad wore around his neck something told her it was something very important also she noticed he had blue eye's like Mana a little lighter but they had a coldness to them he was followed into the room by two other's, one of them was older than Mahad and the other one she could make out his gray hair under the hood of his long tunic and matching beard and his left eye was't a normal eye it was gold and she got the same feeling about it just like with the other items she had seen so far the one next to him was younger again, he did't have any hair as far as she could tell and he had blue eye's as well they were't cold they but stern and he had some strange marks on his forehead and wore golden hooped earrings along with a long white tunic which and seemed to have a cape he also wore golden bands on his arms and leg's and she noticed his item that looked like a key she was starting to think that all the priests had these strange thing's? he moved away from the door letting the last two in she was shocked to see one of them was a women she had blue eye's as well but like Mana's they were kind and held a lot of warmth to them and she also had an item around her neck looked like she was right she wore a headdress which had a golden like bird to it also she wore a long white dress the last one was an other guy with short black hair and wore a toga something she had only heard of when Panya used to talk about her late husband used to wear them and she had told her what it looked like a skirt around his waist and the top part wrapped around his body by going over the shoulder, he also had blue eye's with the smallest touch of green to them and he wore golden bands as well on his arms and leg's and even one around his forehead he to had an item that looked like scales.

"Mahad what was Mana doing in here?" the women asked looking at him.

"i don't know" he said glaring the way Mana had ran out of the room.

"she was just saying hello that's all and she seemed nice it was nice to talk to her for a short while" Nefertari said stepping forward that's when all eye's went on her.

"that's kind of you to speak up for her on her behalf Nefertari but she should't of been in here, and i will be talking to her about it later" Mahad said.

"there's really no need Mahad plus talking with Mana helped me to calm down a little" she said leaving out the part about Mana almost making her heart stop.

"very well Nefertari i'll let it slide this time" Mahad said.

"your right Mahad she does have what it takes if she's able to keep you in line" the one in the white and blue tunic said stepping forward.

"i would't say that i was just asking him to go easy on her more than anything..erm" she said looking at him.

"i'm priest seto and it's nice to meet you Nefertari" Seto said.

"i have to agree with Seto that was handled well and my name is Aknadin and Shimon was telling the truth when he said how lovely you are" he said lifting her hand and placed a kiss to the back of it.

"ah thank you it's good to meet you two all of you" she said.

"there's no need to be so nervous Nefertari your safe with us and my name is Isis i'm also the healer for the palace and if you need anything just ask me" Isis said placing a hand on her shoulder.

" i'll remember that does it show that much that i'm nervous?" she asked looking around at them all.

"do not worry yourself about Isis just knows these thing's but she's right your safe here, my name is Karim" he said bowing to her his toga stayed in place as he stood straight again.

"we should not keep the Pharaoh waiting" the last one said.

"that's Shada he's a little stern but he means well" Isis said to her.

"he is right you know shall we"Seto said leading the way.

She nodded and followed them out of the room she was glade that Mahad was on one side and Isis was on the other she could tell that they seemed to be very close, which was nice and also they seemed to help to keep her nerves from getting the better of her because as she left the room and started to walk with them she had started to shake again, that's when she felt Isis hand on her shoulder she gave a kind and warm smile letting her know that she would be ok and that she understood that it was a lot to take in, and she was starting to feel rather tired and the long trip here had't helped so when they reached the throne room the other's went in ahead of her apart from Isis who stayed with her in till it was her time to enter the throne room and meet the Pharaoh and her future husband.
