Chapter 15: Ice, Ice Baby

We landed in Monaco and caught a connecting flight to Liechtenstein. My stomach was still terribly upset, so Lauren gave me something to ease the pain. It also made me feel drowsy and I ended up dozing off deeply through the second flight.

Harper woke me up as we were ready to land. I still felt drowsy, so I laid my head on his shoulder as the plane descended – going in and out of consciousness until the plane came to a full stop. Before we exited the plane, we all donned our coats that we had with our carry-ons, as we were advised that the weather outside was rather chilly.

And chilly, it was. The cold air was quite refreshing, and it woke me up instantly as it slapped my face left, right and center. Harper was escorted to the lodge right away in a private limousine, courtesy of the Habsburg family, and he left the rest of us to the mercy of the cold.
