Chapter 18: The Moments in Between

'Oh, Harper', Sabrina whispered seductively as Harper gently pulled away from her. He was momentarily in a trance, before suddenly becoming aware of the eyes gawking at him. His cheeks flushed like burning flames, and I wasn't if he was embarrassed or thrilled by Sabrina's cunning little stunt. Maybe both.

'Let's uh… talk outside. In private', he told her as he guided her away from the preying eyes. Sebastian led me to the sidelines, but we could still hear the other ladies gossiping over Sabrina's underhanded move.

'Well, that was a bold play', Sandrine said, her jaw still dropped and her eyes wide and beaming like a car's headlights.

'Little Sabrina is growing up. How sweet!', Talia exclaimed. I couldn't believe her. She was here vying for Harper's hand herself, and yet she had the audacity to compliment her on every move she's made.

'Aren't you upset by that?', I couldn't help but interrupt their conversation.
