Chapter 35: I Define My Title

We popped into the hedge maze, and Harper led us through the flower-covered arches. A soft breeze rustled over the edges, picking up the sweet scent of the roses. It was easy to forget about all the world and it's worries then and there.

'I very much enjoy myself when I am alone with you, Emma. I feel so much more like myself', Harper said with the broadest smile on his face. Without warning, he picked me up and swung me in a circle. 'My best self, perhaps.'

'You're happy today', I couldn't help but remark as he put me down. He was uncharacteristically cheery. He always seemed to have a million worries and one etched on his forehead. But at this moment, he was as worry free as ever.

'How could I not be when I have the world's most beautiful woman by my side?', he flirted.
