Misfortune

"There is indeed something suspicious about the cause of my mother's death, but there is not enough evidence to call the incident a murder. Finally, my father did not let my brother continue to investigate," Aiden said while comforting Anya. "But since you dreamed of it, I will try to see it again."

Aiden did not believe in mystical things like omens of dreams. However, Aiden would do whatever it takes to make Anya feel at ease, even if he had to investigate such an odd dream.

"I saw a lot of spiders in my dream. Even though I tried to get rid of them, they kept coming back. I feel they are not from outside like you mentioned. More like…" Anya stopped talking and stared at Aiden silently. She didn't dare to continue with her words.

"Is it like a poisonous spider put in that place on purpose?" Aiden asked in a deep voice.

"But that is only in my dreams. I can't explain why I dreamed like that."
