Chapter 100: S2 Episode 4 - Sudden Twist of Events! (1)

As people rushed to catch Michiko Keiko who was on the verge of violently falling to the concrete ground, a tall young man dressed in a white tuxedo suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

[Catches!]

Almost falling to the ground, Keiko was just barely saved by the man in white who'd caught her from behind. She was in a daze because she'd believed that there would be no saving her from that hard fall.

'Huh? It doesn't hurt?'

As she felt no sense of pain, she could feel someone's hands on her slim waist. It was then that she realized that someone had caught her from behind. She glanced over to see white-gloved hands on her and she couldn't comprehend the situation.

'I was sure that I was going to fall to the ground… but how did someone manage to stop me from falling in such a short amount of time?'

Although in a daze from the situation that occurred, she quickly found her voice back and removed herself from her savior's arms.

"Ack, I'm sorry about that, Sir," Michiko Keiko apologized, bowing respectfully at a 90-degree angle. She didn't even look up to see who'd saved her.

"It seems as if the situation has gotten out of hand," a man in white spoke up and Keiko tilted her head after hearing their voice.

'Hm… his voice sounds strangely familiar? Do I know him from somewhere?' Keiko questioned and she slowly raised her head to meet eyes with a handsome young man who appeared to be in his mid-20s.

He had bright blonde hair to his neck, baby blue eyes, a chiseled jawline, and a small smile formed on his face. He wore a white hat that was supposed to cover up half of his head but Keiko could clearly see who he was as he stared down at her.

"No way…" She could only utter as she looked at the man.

Everyone in the crowd had paused due to the man in white's presence and they also seemed to kind of recognize the man in white due to his tall, lean figure, and his foreign bright blonde hair that was spilling out of his hat.

"Bonsoir, everyone," the man in white said with a smile as he raised his head to face the crowd. Now, everyone could get a clear look at his face, but they all froze in place once they did.

"Mr. Henri Lucas!!!" The students all shouted in surprise, witnessing the man reveal himself.

Girls and boys alike couldn't take their eyes off of the handsome adult man who appeared out of nowhere. Not only did he have the looks, but he was also a famous French patissier that had a lot of talent in making pastries.

"I can see this school fair is getting pretty heated," Henri Lucas claimed, staring at the two girls who were causing a scene in the middle of the crowd.

"Hey, that's Henri Lucas!"

"You're right, it's Mr. Henri!"

"Wow, he's so handsome up close!"

"Please let me be your girlfriend!"

Keiko still couldn't believe that Henri Lucas was standing right before her. She didn't know how to react!

He was the man whom she saw in that picture long ago when her mother showed it to her, and he was also that man who worked with that nutty chairman during her entrance exam, too!

She showed no expression as she faced the handsome young adult man who gave the students around them sweet smiles.

"Michiko! Are you okay?!" The sweets princes and the sweets spirits all came rushing to Keiko's side after she was caught but she showed no expression after almost cracking her head open.

"I'm alright," Keiko said faintly as she stared down at her feet that touched the concrete.

'If it weren't for that man, I definitely would have been injured…' Keiko thought to herself as she took another glance at Henri Lucas. It was hard to show any expression because she didn't know what to feel. To her, it felt as if all of her emotions had vanished completely to the point where she felt numb.

"He's the person who was away at the Paris branch of St. Marie right after you transferred here," Andou said to Keiko.

'The branch that my mother attended… The school I want to go into... The reason... why I'm trying so hard...,' Keiko thought to herself in a daze.

"Ah, everyone! Please welcome back Mr. Henri Lucas who has returned from the Paris campus!" Chairman Moriyama announced with a jolly smile as Henri Lucas climbed onto the stage to stand by the chairman who dressed as a warlock.

"He's so cool whenever I see him!"

"Welcome back!"

"Can I be your Mrs. Lucas?!"

Girls were clearly showing their fondness and affection towards a man who was in his mid-twenties. They held out their phones and took pictures of him as he stood on the stage. They treated him like an idol!

"This time, while Mr. Lucas was staying in Paris, he won 1st place at the World Sweets Pâtissier Cake Grand Prix!" Chairman Moriyama announced enthusiastically as the students cheered for the tall man standing next to the chairman.

"Wow! Amazing!"

"They're all top class over there!"

"1st place? Are you kidding me?!"

As chatter erupted, the chairman signaled for the crowd to quiet down so Henri Lucas could speak.

"Before I announce what I have to say, there is something that I'd like to address," Henri Lucas said, which everyone had anticipated hearing. As Keiko looked at him, it seemed as if his baby blue eyes were looking right at her.

'Why do I get the feeling that he's only staring at me?' Keiko asked herself but disregarded the thought as it felt like his eyes were piercing through her.

Everyone looked at him with curious looks as they stared at the man before them.

"As I came here, I had witnessed something repulsive unfolding in the middle of the crowd. I heard the contents of the conversation between two young women which caused me to have to step in and mediate the out-of-control scene," Henri Lucas began to explain but there was no chattering in the crowd anymore. Everyone knew what he was talking about.

"It seems as if one of the young girls, Miss Koshiro Miya, had admitted to doing an unforgivable act of cheating during this round. And for that reason, such vulgar words had spouted out of her mouth to show her hostility towards a fair competitor!"

It was then that everyone turned their heads to face Koshiro Miya who stood in the middle of the crowd. She was in a state of shock after what had transpired. She had been hoping to hurt Michiko Keiko, whom she despised, yet her thoughts were clouded with such violence that she was actually hoping to *kill* her at that moment…

She never acted like that towards anyone, yet she showed just how cruel she was in front of everybody, including the chairman and Henri Lucas. Now, she was being called out for it.

"Miss Koshiro Miya, I have no idea what emotions you hold towards Miss Michiko Keiko to have to push her so hard like that, but what would have happened if she had fallen to the ground and cracked her head open? Would you have taken responsibility for her injuries? What if she was too injured to even be saved? I'm afraid to even think of what would've happened if I had not been there," Henri Lucas spouted with such a fierce look in his usually calm blue eyes. It felt as if a coldness was brewing in the air and it was Koshiro Miya who caused Henri Lucas to feel this way.

Now, everybody was glaring at Koshiro Miya who had her head faced down to the ground.

"Since you have admitted to cheating this round and had almost caused a huge accident against your competitor, I will have the chairman and school board decide what they will do with you from there," Henri Lucas said with an icy tone that made everyone shiver in place.

He turned the attention back to the chairman who agreed with his words.

"Ahem! As both the school board and I have witnessed today's scene and confession, Koshiro Miya… Your team will be disqualified from the Grand Prix and you will be escorted straight into the office to talk about your actions today! Is that understood?!" Chairman Moriyama said sternly without his usual easygoing smile. He plastered such a serious face that the students watching couldn't even believe that this was still the same chairman.

The crowd went silent after that declaration and everybody looked to witness Koshiro Miya who was gritting her teeth and staring at the ground. They could quite frankly see her head nodding slightly in response.

There was nothing she could do now. Even her father couldn't get her out of this predicament. If anything, he was an accomplice in her cheating.

"Y-yes… Chairman…" Koshiro Miya managed to say as she felt all hopelessness take over her body. A teacher came to grab her from the crowd and escorted her inside the academy to be spoken to.

There was no way in hell that she could use her father's influence to get her out of this situation now. She'd just confessed to cheating and was seen as a psychopath for trying to harm another student. She felt completely and utterly useless.
