Seventy Three

George was silent for a little while before asking me if I was scared. I told him that I wasn't and he asked me why I was suddenly bailing on everyone after all that I did to get there. He raised his voice and it broke a bit as he told me how disappointed he was that I was willing to let people risk their lives while I sat there and did nothing. He then walked over to me and told me that he could get me out of there, so I quietly followed him.

We met up with Nathaniel and Nara and made our way to the escape boats amidst the chaos that was all around us. Our boat was almost empty as most of the sailors had left to help the others that had capsized nearby. We moved swiftly with Nathaniel in front me, Nara behind me, and George to the side of me, as Arthur followed closely beside me. I was once again being protected, but I didn't care. I didn't care about anything.

At the boats, Nathaniel and George went to get the boat onto the water, while Arthur and Nara kept watch. I felt useless. I was useless, but it didn't bother me at all. I just kept replaying Zephyr's words over and over in my head, until I felt George push me out of the way. When I snapped back to reality, Nara had aimed an arrow for me, but George pushed me away and took the arrow to the chest.

He fell backwards into the water below and Nathaniel jumped in after him. Nara then told me to make a choice before fleeing. I looked to the horizon and saw the enemy ships fighting the Cerean fleet, and I didn't want to jeopardise the lives of others. I grabbed my sword and followed her with Arthur right by my side.
