Seventy Four

I followed her to the front of the ship, where she was waiting for me. She shot a few arrows at me, but I deflected them with magic and asked her if she was Zephyr's spy and she confirmed it. I questioned why she disguised herself as an ally when she wished for mine and Nathaniel's downfalls as much as Paul and Zephyr, and she told me that Zephyr promised her a new world order with royals at the bottom and magic at the top.

She then drew another one of her arrows and pointed it at Arthur, but I stopped it in midair. She told me that the tips of her arrows were coated in poppy nectar, the same flower that put me to sleep last time. She said that the nectar was powerful enough to knock me out long enough to win the battle and kill everyone I hold dear to my heart.

Hearing those words awoken something inside me. Knowing that she could harm those I hold dear woke something inside me. Something that Zephyr held down with the truth I deep down didn't want to know. Whatever that thing was, it made me draw my sword at Nara with a murderous intent.
