Chapter Seventy-One: Past: Knock or Let Death In

He wasn't home

No, wait

I dont think you understand when I say this, he's not home and I was sure it wasn't cause of work, all I knew is that my husband wasn't home, and no matter what I did to soothe my heart nothing helped. I could feel it banging against my chest, trying to get out desperately. I could hear it banging as if someone was trying to get in the room, they knew I could hear it and couldn't try to file for a noise complaint.

This was the third day that he hadn't bothered to return home, my three hundred missed calls dismissed with quick slid clicks being left as unanswered and my heart had refusing to correspond with reality. Refusing to listen to anything but the irrational thoughts that made more sense than the one in front of me.
