Chapter 4:Attebutes and holders

John had just woken up from his sleep. He was sleeping on a old squeaky bed with dirty sheets and a dirty pillow. John woke up to Spike's brother smacking him with a book. He stood there with a plane face and told him that there was food waiting for him in the library. John stood up and walked through the hall way leading to the library, nothing but a plane wall and wooden pillars keeping it up with old pictures and paintings here and there. John opened to door to the library to find a tray with food on a table next to the books he was reading. As john sat down he took a bite of the bread and the hot milk sat behind it. As he opened the old dusty book he flipped to the page he left off on and he started to read. It was a book about how attributes and there holders work.

Attributes. They are powers that are granted when born and they can be of four main categories fire, earth, water or wind, they can also be of a subcategory such a combination or a completely separate one that is rare. People with different attributes then the main four are viewed as weak and insignificant.....

"Dark-flame master!"

"Don't call me that!"

John:"NO YOU MUST FOCUS!"

He didn't stop. He kept reading 'Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions' (In this world there is a manga about it). He stopped after four hours, and went onto another one titled 'Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic'

???:"What are you doing?"

John swiftly closed the "books" and turned around to be meet with Spike's brother that has yet to be named.

John:"Reading..."

???:"Your reading Magi and Love chunibyo!? I see... another man of culture."

John:"What..." It took John a second to register what he had just said.

???:"The stories are so interesting and nice. It seemed like Magi wasn't very well known in the past, but its amazing don't you agree? Love chunibyo is also great, it might not be a action/adventure like Magi but it can keep you interested in how Yuuta and Rikka's relationship will blossom."

John:"I know right, Magi is so cool ya but I like Love chunibyo better. It knows how to keep you cheering for Yuuta to man up. It also has a great story line with the Chunibyo mental disorder!"

???:"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, Magi is where its at! Sinbad is such a badass character! Love chunibyo is good but Magi is leagues above it. It has great fight scenes and knows how to keep you waiting for them to go to the next dungeon or next country. It does a great job world building and with character development."

Spike:"WHAT NOT YOU TO JOHN! I see you have also fallen prey to this rare disease... because... One Punch Man is the best out there! It has great jokes and knows how to introduce op characters without them being one shot by Sitama!"

John:"One Punch Man... never heard of it."

Spike:"It's a must read its so great here read it next."

Spike says before handing John OPM volume 1.

John:"When did you get back?"

Spike:"I never left."

John:"THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT OF ME READING THIS YOU ASS HOLE!?"

Spike:"I at least wanted you to read the book you read yesterday so you could understand where attributes came from and how Japan took over the word."

???:"We should probably explain to him how attribute work."

Spike:"Ya, your right that book does a shit job at explaining it."

???:"All right listen up kid, attributes can be categorized as four main groups. Fire, water, wind, earth there are also sup categories and attributeless. Fire type are known to be the strongest attribute but they are also the hardest to master and be born with. Water type are the second followed by wind an then earth type."

Spike:"Each type has a weakness and a other type that can boost its power. There will always be another person that can boost your attribute. This can even happen between different clans. People that fined this person can become far greater then they could of by themselfs."

???:"This can even happen with people that are attributeless and people that have mutations. This happened with the four brothers that cause the world to fall into disarray."

Spike:"Well explain everything else at a later date its already getting late."

???:"Ya, should take a bath and go to sleep relax a little because tomorrow were all going on a trip."

John:"To where?"

Spike:"The great forest in the south."

John:"The Amazon forest?!"

???:"Ya, you should wake up early tomorrow and throw out that milk it has gone bad already."

Spike and his brother walk out of the room without a sound and swiftly mad there way outside where a peculiar stone was placed. They removed the stone and the ground opened up revealing a huge room under ground. The room seemed to be a lab of sorts. Spike took a seat on a chair behind a desk with various papers and test tubs.

???:"You got the book?"

Spike:"Ya, you really think I would let a kid find the truth about attributes.?"

???:"It would be to trouble some if someone else found out about the devils and angels that have plagued this world."

Spike:"That's why were going to the last of the great forests, where all the demi-humans reside and where a 'rift' is."

???:"Even if its small it can still lead to huge problems."

They both continue to talk as john turns on the hot water and steam begins to fill the room as he sits in the tub.

John:"What a hectic day, wonder why were going to the forest. I wonder how demi-humans look."
