Season Finale Part 1
[Siren]
"Stop banging the door. It's useless."
I called out when I notice that she won't stop banging on the door unless help came. I sighed. I'm hungry.
"But how would they know that we're here?" Her hopeless voice made me more frustrated. If I could just break that door right now.
"They probably know by now because we're taking too much time already. It's not like they will go home without us." Well, I'm hoping for the best. I hope that they are looking for us right now.
She slowly approached me and sat beside me.
"Peach."
"Hmmm?"
"Perfume..."
"Ha?"
"What perfume do you use?"
She gave me a puzzled look. "I don't use perfume."
"Ha? But... Y-you smell like flowers..."
"Oh. I heard that a lot." A smile slowly formed on her lips. "I'm not fond of perfumes so I don't use them. Maybe it's my natural scent?"
I rolled my eyes at her as an answer. Why did I even bother asking? Tsk.
Silence filled the air as we both stare at nothing waiting for someone to help us. It hasn't been an hour but I feel like I'm staying here for eternity.
"How is Brownie doing?" Peach breaks the silence by asking.
"He's fine. We're bringing him to the vet this weekend for vitamins and injections." I rest my head on the cold wall and stared at the door.
"Oh. Can I go with you?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "We're leaving in the morning."
I glanced at Peach when she didn't say anything. She's staring at me, her eyes sparkling.
"W-what?"
She shake her head and smiled. "Nothing. I'm just happy."
I looked at her unbelievably. "You're that happy?"
"Of course. I got to be with you and Brownie!"
"Peach..." I sighed. "You know I'm with Yujin, right?" I whispered but enough for her to hear.
"I know."
"Then why-"
"You're giving me enough reason to hope, Siren. And until I can't see those signs, I won't give up."
I stared at her. "You're crazy."
She smiled. "I might be. But, I'm not wrong, right, Siren?"
"I don't know... Don't ask me." I rest my head on the wall and closed my eyes. I don't have the energy to talk anymore. I'm so tired and hungry.
I felt Peach leaning her head on my shoulder but I didn't bother saying anything.
Ha, I wonder when will they open the door?
