She knew he was hiding something big but she didn't want to ask him anything else. Aurora didn't fully trusted him and she was too exhausted anyway.

"I'm so tired ,I want to go home" she said tiredly.

"It's late,so why don't you crush here tonight and I'll take you home first thing in the morning, okay?" Xavier asked nervously.

She looked in his eyes for a second then nodded hesitately .

Xavier blow a sigh of relief and said " great! Let me show you to your room then".

They went down the corridor, since it was one story house, Xavier wasn't like your cliché billionaires who lives in big mansions. He prefers small old fashioned houses.

Xavier opened the door for his Aurora and said "I hope you like it". Aurora looked up at him and smiled "it's comfy, thank you".

They were silent for a minute just looking at each other.

"You know I still love you" Xavier said.

Aurora had no doubt about it. Of course he does, why would he keeps searching for her years and come across the sea just to get her back. Only a true lover would do that.

"I know" she said.

Xavier kissed her forehead and said "good night, angel"

"Good night, Xavier"

"Do you really believe him?" Luke said.

Aurora took a deep sigh and said " I don't know luke. He looked so much in pain" she paused for a moment " I think he's hiding something" she added.

Luke looked at his friend and saw the sorrow in her eyes. He wanted to help her but a selfish part in him wanted her all for himself. He hated himself for thinking like this.

But NO! It's his precious Aurora his talking about. He would put her above all else even if it means giving her back to that bastard.

"Do you still love him?" He asked

"With all my heart" she sighed. "I-I thought I hated him but the moment I saw him ,I knew I could never .after all, you can't forget your first love and in my case my only"

" Does he have an enemey ?" Luke said.

Aurora eyes widened for the sudden question " NO! Why would you think that!?" She asked.

She wouldn't believe it. Xavier is too sweet to have an enemey.

" Maybe he was trying to protect you from them so that's why he said what you heard that day" he said." Have you ever noticed him acting strange, or... afraid of something?".

Aurora thought for a moment, then she remembered that day .

" Yeah, I remember it happened before our wedding "

"I'm so exhausted " said Aurora " I start hating those wedding shopping" .

"Hush ,hush .we still have to go wine and cake tasting"Her friend Faye said.

"Leave it another day please. My feet are hurting so much, and it's already 8pm" Aurora said with a tired voice.

Faye looked at he friend for a minute and then nodded.

When they were in the car Aurora checked her phone to find it dead.

"Oh no, my phone is dead. Xavier's going to be mad" Aurora sighed " he said I should be home by six " .

" Nah, he's going to understand" Faye said.

When they parked in front of Xavier's home , Aurora jumped out of the car and bided her a farewell.

The door suddenly opened to a very mad Xavier. He yanked her in and closed the door.

"Where the fuck have you been" he shouted " Do you time is it . I had called so many times why didn't you answer" he continues shouting.

" Xavier please calm down, we just ran out of time and my phone's battery died" Aurora tried to calm him down.

"Do you now how scared I was, to come home and not finding you here. I was scared , so scared" Aurora never saw him this broken. There was fear in his eyes. She hugged him to her and said "I'm so sorry honey . I didn't want to scare you" .

Xavier hugged her petite body to him tightly " it's so dangerous out there . Please promise me you won't do it again , please".

"I promise Xavier" Aurora promised him.

" Are you hungry,angel?" Xavier asked.

Aurora's stomach growled in response. She blushed and hided her face in the crock of his neck.

Xavier chuckled " let's get some food in you"

"Yeah actually, he was so scared that day that he didn't leave my side for the whole week" Aurora said .

" Let's investigate then.  You know,like in movies . when they suspect someone." Luke said.

"I'm not sure. in movies one of them get killed in the end"

"Come on , I know you want to " Luke tried to reason with her.

" I don't know...."
