Chapter 2-

"Your mom came and said you wanted me. She told me to bring some snacks and gave me the keys." Mason said shaking a box of cookies.

"Gosh Mason. Atleast knock. If you wanted to kill me kill me without me knowing. Gosh I hate you. You gave me a fricking heart attack," Irene threw a pillow at him. Unfortunately he caught it and sticks out his tongue. "You little brat. Go die in a hole. Maybe you'll get to see my dad."

"Go see your dad yourself. You've been waiting every decade to see him." He said mocking Irene's tone. She rolls her eyes. She walks up to him and takes the cookies. "Thank you. Now you may leave." Irene said bowing and pointing to the door. "Oh shut up. Your mom let me come here, not you. Go sit your butt down and eat your cookies. Mason is here now." He said in a commanding voice.

"Yeah yeah yeah. Don't get too bossy I know where you live. I can always kill you when I feel like it."

"No you won't. Not when I do your chores for you AND I'm your best friend. The only person who's willing to be friends with you." He said as he walks into the kitchen.

"That's because you thought you were stronger than me and you were cocky. You can't go back to a friendship you created. You'll just be fake!" Irene yelled towards the kitchen.

"Why would I be fake to the daughter's of Hades? I rather kill myself before you kill me. You're that scary."

Irene took a second to think of her childhood. Was she that scary? No one knew she was the daughter of Hades nor did they care. They all thought she was crazy when she mentioned it. Was that the reason why everyone was avoiding her? She never understood them why they were avoiding her. Even if she's older she never knew. Humans were always confusing.

"Hello? Earth to Irene. You there?" Mason asked waving his hand in front of Irene. "Huh? What happened?" Irene gave him a confused look.

"Hmm I don't know. What did happen? Did you suddenly become a ghost?"

"Shut up. Ghosts are really sensitive about that. If you want them to kill you I can help you with that." Irene said holding out her hand waiting out looking like she wanted to be paid. Mason smacked her hand as hard as he could. Irene let out a small yelp and glared at him. "You little brat. This is why no one likes you." She said rubbing her hand that didn't even hurt.

"Don't lie to your best friend. I know you love me. I'm like a brother to you."

"Brother? HA! Not even close. The only brother I have is Lottus."

"I thought Lottus was a girl..." He said scratching his head confused.

"You-! You come here almost everyday and you don't know what gender Lottus is? You're no longer welcomed." Irene made a mad expression, crossing her arms.

"I was just kidding. I was... trying to see if you remember."

"You suck at lying. Maybe being the son of the wise goddess isn't working for you." She spoke spitting out words.

"How rude. I may not be her greatest son but I know who is. I'm sure he's willing to meet you. He's all about helping and fighting. The good part is he's only 2 years older than us. I just need to remember what his number is..." Mason started walking around the room thinking.

They meet every year as a family reunion, their mom made. Mason never really cared about it but now he does. Helping Irene with her "Destiny" is what he has planned for years. He never agreed with it but he doesn't want to lose his best friend.

"Let's not ask him. We don't know if we can trust him. He might as well snitch us out when we put too much trust in him."

Mason gasped," How dare you dishonor my family's trust! You should know we are very loyal. Well some are, but the rest of us are trustworthy."

"Like I said, we can't put trust in him. We don't even know him. He might as well hunt me now before I even start my life mission. After all he is Athena's son." Irene said in a lazy tone.

"I'm her son too! He's just older and skillful."

"Skillful or not I can find someone better than him. Didn't you say there was another demigod at school? We should just ask them."

"Sofia? No, she's a shy type. I don't think she'll want to join us. After all she is the daughter of Aphrodite. AKA Zeus' granddaughter." He said with confidence.

"Sure," Sofia said without care. Irene nudged Mason with a smirk on her face. "In one condition. You have to include one more person. He's Apollo's son and he never liked his father."

Irene nodded," The more the merrier." Sofia smiles. "Thank you so much. I promise we won't fail you. He's good with the bow and some guns. I'll ask him right now!" She said running towards the school.

"You didn't tell me there was another demigod. You idiot." Irene said yanking on Mason's ear. "Ow ow ow. Let go! I didn't know!" He yelled making some people look at them. Irene gave them a glare making them look away. "He's probably not a junior! Now let go!" Irene let go of his ear causing him to rub his red ear. He gave her a death glare but she ignores him.

"He said yes!!" Sofia screamed at them. Irene looked over to see him.
