Betrayed By The Loved Ones

Gianna was silent throughout the journey to Moretti Mansion, Xavier decided to take her there because it was safe for the time being. Adam called Amelia and informed her about Gianna and told her to come to Moretti Mansion to meet her. Xavier looked at Gianna through the glass mirror, she sat silently in the back seat in a corner, lost in thoughts.
"Amore... are you thirsty or hungry?" Xavier asked her in a low voice. Gianna's silence was the response to his question. [Love...]
Xavier sighed and soon enough they reached the Moretti Mansion. As soon as the car stopped, Gianna left from the car by herself, not giving either of them a chance to help her out, she felt suffocated in the car.
She inhaled the scent of flowers and grass and the voice of the fountain. She widened her eyes in surprise.
"Why am I here? I've a home." Gianna's voice was very emotionless and cold. Adam and Xavier looked at each other. Xavier decided to silently guide her inside without answering.
As soon as she sat on the sofa, Brinley came running downstairs and rushed to hug Gianna. Gianna sat still without hugging her back. Xavier and Adam were very confused by her behavior.
"Are you okay!? Did they hurt you!?" Brinley asked frantically as she searched for injuries, she spotted the wound on her thigh and rushed to the Kitchen to bring the first aid box. She started cleaning the wound and applied ointment on it. After bandaging her, she thought Gianna would smile like she always does and hug her or thank her, but she got no reaction from her.
Brinley looked at Xavier in confusion. Brinley then realized and said,
"Gianna! I am really sorry... if I knew you were being insulted I would have personally kicked them out." Brinley said, hearing this Gianna smirked but soon her emotionless expression came again. They had never seen that expression coming from Gianna at all. Grace, Lorenzo and Derek came out of their rooms when Adam texted them of Gianna's arrival and at that moment, Amelia also arrived.
"Are you okay dear? They didn't hurt you that much right? We were all worried about you." Grace said as she held Gianna's cheek. Gianna nodded slightly.
"Anna!" Amelia exclaimed as she entered through the main door and ran towards Gianna to hug her. Gianna stood still for a moment. Amelia looked at Gianna from head to toe and spotted a wound on her thigh.
"Does that hurt? Why did they kidnap you? Did they do anything to you!? Have you eaten something? What did they say!?" Amelia rained questions on Gianna. Gianna held her hand tightly and opened her mouth.
"I will answer. I will do so only when you answer me some questions." Gianna said in a cold voice. Everyone was surprised.
"Gianna you must be tired, we'll talk later. Let's go to the guest room I--" Gianna kept a finger on her lips telling Xavier to stay silent for a moment.
"I am talking with me real sister. My only blood alive. My only reason to live. I want my answers... then only I would be able to breathe." Gianna said silencing him.
"Did you already knew that our parents were the founders and bosses of a mafia called 'Black Panthers'?" Gianna asked and Amelia stared at Gianna in confusion. Not only Amelia, the whole Moretti family was shocked, Adam and Xavier looked at each other in shock.
"No, absolutely not. I never knew about this!" Amelia said in response.
"But isn't 'Black Panthers' led by Robert Allen, your uncle? We found this out today while investigating." Adam exclaimed and Gianna nodded.
"Yes because my parents were killed by that b*stard. He was the one who snatched our parents and my eyesight from us." Hearing Gianna swear for the first time in life and reveal the fact, Amelia and other's eyes widened in shock.
"He was selfish, his greed for my parent's possessions and mafia made him do all of this." Gianna said and sighed.
"Tell me, Amelia... did you already know Moretti family was a mafia family too...?" Gianna raised her eyebrows questioning her which made everyone sweat.
"I-I... I just recently--"
"Don't lie... say the truth." Gianna urged.
"Yes... I--" As soon as she said 'yes', Gianna raised her hand to stop her from going further.
"I should've just killed myself before getting betrayed by the ones I loved dearly." Gianna said in a low voice making Grace and Brinley gasp in shock, Amelia started crying listening to this.
"No... Gianna it's not like that, please don't say such words... I'm sorry to hide this from you..." Amelia wailed and cried as she fell on her knees.
"Yes Gianna, forgive her. It was me, I told her to not tell you this fact... I was soon planning on telling you this myself." Xavier said and held Gianna hand trying to convince her. Gianna couldn't control her emotions anymore, and she burst out crying in front of everyone.
"Have I ever lied to anyone? Why do I always get lied with, and why do people play tricks just on me!? Why can't I ever live normally and happily...!" Gianna exclaimed in pure sadness. Xavier hugged her tightly trying to calm her down. Derek came and held Amelia up. Adam hugged Brinley by her shoulder as she was crying herself.
Grace came towards Gianna, Xavier let her go and moved aside.
"Dear... I know you've suffered a lot until now. Problems in one's life only makes that person even stronger than before. You don't know how strong you are. If you have faced a lot till now, that means that you're even more brave than any of the woman present here or outside in the city. Sometimes some things might hurt your heart very much, but you should know how to endure the pain and carry it throughout the lifetime. This will make you even more courageous and brave in everyone's eyes." Grace said and hugged Gianna. Gianna hugged her back tightly and wailed in her arms.
Grace let her go and wiped her cheeks and softly patted her cheeks.
"Never forget, Moretti family will stand by your side at present and in the future too, no matter what path and decisions you take... you and Amelia gained the positions of our family members in our hearts. Even if these people don't support you, I'll be there for you. Gianna I will not mind if you and Amelia decide to get adopted by us, I'm ready to take care of you both like daughters, if you want this--" Grace was interrupted by Xavier and Derek at the same time.
"NO!!" Both exclaimed with loud voices. Everyone looked at first Xavier and then at Derek. For Xavier, it was understood that he loves Gianna, and he would never accept her as his sister, he wouldn't even dare to imagine that scenario. But... Derek? Why the heck was he opposed to the comment made by his mother?
"What!? I don't want this wild cat as my sister!" Derek exclaimed as he pointed at Amelia making her glare daggers at him and threw a pillow from the sofa on his face. Everyone started laughing at their antics and soon the sad vibe in the house changed to merry vibes. Gianna soon calmed down and drank some water from the glass offered by Xavier.
"Gianna come with me, I think you should rest for a while in room, you must be very tired and exhausted, right?" Brinley said and Amelia also responded with approval of the idea. Gianna got a little awkward and nervous.
"It's okay... Brinley, I think we should now go back." Gianna said and stood up. Amelia also stood up.
"Gianna..." Xavier called her out in a low voice. Gianna turned towards the source of the voice and turned her head a little in confusion.
"You might find this wrong... and maybe impulsive of me, but if possible I want you to stay with us for some days, the same goes for Amelia." Xavier said in a worried tone.
"Yes it's more safe here than anywhere else, Gianna. Now that I know, you're my friend's daughter, you must stay here with us for your safety until Xavier settles everything outside." Lorenzo said making everyone shocked, he was someone who would use limited words to convey his orders and thoughts and would rarely show care for someone. Coming to this from him was a surprise for everyone. Amelia patted Gianna's shoulder lightly and encouraged her to make a decision, she nodded in approval but soon frowned in worry.
"Uhm... Charlie...? He's alone... I haven't met him since so many hours... he must be worried about me." Everyone chuckled listening to Gianna and she smiled shyly listening everyone laugh. It was the first smile everyone witnessed after her kidnapping.
"Don't worry, wild cat will bring him here with me, right?" Derek said and shoved her shoulder lightly to tease her. Amelia glared at him and sneakily pinched his stomach, he groaned loudly in front of everyone which made Amelia smirk, with a victorious look in her eyes. Everyone laughed again at their antics, Brinley took Gianna to the guest room to let her rest and Derek and Amelia left from the Moretti Mansion in his car to bring all the necessities sufficient for a few days and Charlie with them.
