Chapter Three

Ava's Pov:

Getting the cold shoulder from Miles last night wasn't what I expected. Earlier this morning after getting ready for training with Ariel, I stopped in the office and dropped off the necklace he gave me. If anything could help our situation that would be it. Wearing a sports bra underneath a gray tank top with gray yoga pants I begin stretching with Arie and the other girls in the pack. My blonde hair was pushed up into a messy bun as well as Ariel's. The girl took outside today and the men took inside the training hall. Every other day we would switch to get different techniques wired into our brain. On the weekends the whole pack gathered to play dodgeball to relax and than train together to show what we have learned. In the past month, the women had showed improvement as well as the guys. Everyone was getting stronger each day. As Ariel began to start asking questions, Miles walked slowly toward the men to speak with Freddy about the improvements on training. There were two-hundred and fifty men separated equally into groups with one leader to speak to Freddy and it was the same for the girls. Except Ariel has been teaching me and helping me learn the ways of becoming a head warrior which I have already achieved within four months.

Freddy and Miles spoke quietly in hushed voices as the men trained. Us girls stood outside stretching and about to start at nine. Ariel wanted everyone to begin training in groups of two to six where each group would split. One group of people would be in their wolf form and the other in human form. As per usual, Ariel and I performed an example of what not to do and what to do in different situations in the first hour. The next five hours I walked around and studied each women and their way of fighting while Ariel talked with Miles updating him on everything. I focused on the job at hand and blocked my wolf out and ignored Miles watching me.

One of the females kept agitating another female and I split them up but it got worse. Marcy, a red haired female who thought she was in charge of her group kept getting annoyed how Sierra would push her aside and fight her down to the ground too roughly. I pushed Sierra away from Marcy but it made Sierra angrier. She switched to her wolf form and about ready to attack me when I closed my eyes. I shook my head at how annoying she was being. The she wolf needed to know her place. As Sierras wolf was mere inches from my face I put my hands up blocking her with a blue invisible shield. My hand balled into a fist and punched her wolf's jaw and she flew back twenty yards away. I looked completely shocked and looked at my hands with concern. Marcy suddenly shuffled away as Ariel ran out to me getting my attention.

"Ava! Ava! You okay? What happened?" Her voice was getting quieter as my vision started to blacken out. My body hit the ground as my vision went black and my hearing went deaf.
