Aurora has always been the 'unattractive, unattainable' girl throughout her whole life. No man has ever approached her with the intention of courting her, rather they approached her to learn more about her best friend. She was better known as a 'DUFF'. But now with her best friend dead and a baby depending on her, she finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage that will test and strengthen her character. Like most 21st century women, she views herself as a feminist. One who doesn't believe in love. She views love as a Capitalist movement created to control unsuspecting minds while breaking their bank accounts. But she finds herself falling in love with a man. Not just any man, her friends boyfriend who also happens to be her husband.

Deep In The Mud

<p>The past two weeks have been extremely unpleasant. I had no power nor did l have anything to contribute towards Akai's rescue mission. All l could do was sit back and leave the fate of my daughters life in the hands of men l had not yet fully learnt to trust. I knew that no harm would come to her because her grandfather and father would make sure of it but life is full of so much uncertainty, you never know how things will pen out</p>

<p>However things were now looking up because Hilden had finally stepped up to the role of fatherhood. I knew it wouldn't be easy but it had to be done. I couldn't imagine giving up something l had wanted my whole life for something l had been silently suffering to obtain.</p>
