Every person gets a mark  with the person they're fated to be together's initials on the day of their 16th birthday. Some people may refuse to accept their soulmates, and aren't satisfied. "Who's your soulmate Marinette? Who's the lucky guy?"  I asked, probably for the billionth time. As I was making my way to Marinette's trapdoor,  when I heard Marinette barely even whisper, "I-Chat, my soulmate...it's you."

"Who's your soulmate Marinette? Who's the lucky guy?"  I asked, probably for the billionth time. As I was making my way to Marinette's trapdoor,  when I heard Marinette barely even whisper, "I-Chat, my soulmate...it's you."


"I-What?" I answered. "I-Marinette I gotta go." I dashed for the trapdoor, running as fast as I can to my father's mansion. The expression of shock when I heard the news was still etched upon my face. Everything made sense, my initials, they were Marinette's, if everyone knew that she was my soulmate, they'd use it against me.


PAUSE. This is your fellow author here. Still confused? Are you thinking, "Did I skip something?" The answer's no, you didn't, its called a time skip. But anyway let's do a rewind to what happened before the scene above happened. 


"I've decided Tikki. I'm gonna tell Chat Noir that we're soulmates. I just don't know if I should I do it as Marinette or Ladybug? If I do it as Ladybug, Chat Noir will be over the moon, but if I do it as Marinette, Chat Noir will probably be...he'll probably be." I couldn't finish that sentence. How would he react? He loved Ladybug. Not Marinette. 


"I-Tikki, what should I do? Should I say it as Marinette? Or Ladybug? Either choices will make a big difference." I said, not sure about my answer.


"Marinette, Chat Noir already loves Ladybug, so shouldn't you know if he loves the Marinette side too?" Tikki reasoned.


Well that made sense. I looked at Tikki and grinned. 


"You're right. You know what? I'll do it as Marinette." 


"Oh Boy, this is going to be one heck of a day." But I really didn't know that I was literally foreshadowing.
