Plagg's Dark Past

No One's POV

Of course, when all this was happening, both Tikki and Plagg knew that Adrien and Marinette were soulmates, but as of now, they only loved one half of their soulmates, so now, they were to be tested, because they both had their own "imperfect" selves, for example, if Adrien got Ladybug as his soulmate, he'd be ecstatic, but he would probably only love the Ladybug side of Marinette, if Marinette got Adrien as her soulmate, she'd be ecstatic, yet she wouldn't fully accept Adrien's alter ego, she'd only fawn over Adrien's civilian self. So this had to happen, so this would ensure both soulmates loved both parts of each other.

Plagg knew that Marinette got Chat Noir as her soulmate.

Tikki knew Adrien got Marinette as his soulmate.

Yet they weren't allowed to tell there owners that.

Adrien's POV

After I reached the Agreste mansion, my head was filled with curiosity, "Plagg, who do you think is Marinette's soulmate?" I asked.

Plagg was silent. I don't know why but I just somehow knew that Plagg knew something I didn't.

"Kid, the whole soulmate thing is very confusing, that's why I'd rather stick with my beautiful camembert." Plagg answered.

"Do you ever think about anything other than cheese?" I joked.

"I did." He muttered.

"What?" I asked.

"I-Nothing." He stuttered.

"Plagg, come on, you can tell me." I encouraged.

"Fine, before the beginning of time, me, the Kwami of Destruction, was soulmates with Ladybug's kwami, Tikki, the Kwami of Creation. But of course, it was a love that was never meant to be, we love each other, and we still do, but we spent so much time apart because Ladybug and Chat Noirs can't reveal each other's identity, and even the time we spent together..." Plagg looked miserable recalling that memory. "It was only a matter of time, our owners, either they...died in battle, or they faced very...very miserable downfall. Me and Tikki never had enough time to spend with each other. So I needed to find ways to cope, and camembert provided me with that." He explained.

"Plagg, I-" I stuttered.

"Kid, let's just...not talk about it." He grumbled.

"Ok, but Plagg, I'm here for you." I said quietly.
