Chapter 7- Wedding Invitation

Wedding Invitation

For almost two weeks, the office atmosphere was tense, as Bian, the CEO, was in a bad mood. He was easily angered with even trivial mistakes. The reason was that since the night of the Zettira product launch, Ristie had never contacted him nor picked up any of his calls. Initially, Bian thought Ristie was just upset, and in one or two days, she would be fine again. It turned out that Ristie was really angry with him.

Bian was sitting with Randy on the sofa in Bian's office. They seemed to be discussing something seriously. Bian's face looked dark, while Randy hid the smile on his face. They talked for almost an hour until Randy left the office.

In the pantry, Mumut was finishing her breakfast after cleaning the boardroom. Hari, who had just entered the pantry, smiled at her. In his eyes, the girl always looked attractive, even though her appearance was effortless.

"Morning, beautiful ...."

Mumut just looked at him lazily. For Mumut, Hari was just a playboy who was spreading his charm everywhere.

"Morning."

Mumut continued eating her breakfast without paying any attention to Hari. She seemed to really enjoy the simple food in her lunch box, which only consisted of rice, vegetables, chili sauce, and a piece of tempe.

Hari did not move from his spot, even though he felt ignored. He watched the girl with a smile. Unlike most of the girls in this place who were after him, this girl always avoided him and made him even more curious to conquer her.

Shortly thereafter, Harti entered the pantry, prepared a few drinks, and ordered Hari to distribute them in the directors' offices. She told Mumut to bring a cup of coffee to Bian's office after she finished her breakfast. Hari grumpily carried out Harti's orders without daring to refuse them. Mumut said yes as she finished her food.

After breakfast, Mumut washed and dried the container. After drinking a glass of water, she then took the coffee to Bian's room. She knew that Bian had been cranky lately, but she didn't care. Her job was only to put this cup of coffee on his desk and left the office. She also didn't care about the rumors circulating among the employees about Bian's relationship with Ristie, about Ristie, who had never set foot in this place for almost a month. Most of the female employees seemed happy with this situation. With Ristie out of the picture, they hoped that Bian would really break up with Ristie so that they had the opportunity to approach him.

Mumut passed the secretary's table and smiled at the girl. Via told Mumut to go straight to Bian's office. Mumut then knocked on the door, and even though she didn't get an answer, she still entered the room. Bian was standing by the window, looking outside. As usual, he never paid attention to her. Mumut continued to walk towards Bian's table and put the coffee there. She glanced at the pink object with a beautiful and luxurious design. Mumut thought that it must be a wedding invitation. She smiled faintly as she imagined Andika proposed to her. Mumut was sure that the only invitation they could make would only be a simple invitation, unlike the fancy one she just saw. Mumut accidentally read the name printed on it, and she was shocked. It was Ristie's wedding invitation! No wonder the boss was so cranky. Apparently, he was left by her to get married!

Mumut immediately rushed out of Bian's office. Thinking about Andika made her heart warm. Mumut missed the guy because she had never seen him again since their meeting at the bus stop.

Mumut immediately put the tray in the pantry and headed for the prayer room to do the Duha prayer.
