Scars of victory

Its been six weeks, since the tragedy, that incident which shook my heart into a million pieces. But that wasn't what I was thinking about, I was thinking about her. That girl who saved me, her eyes... still stood in my mind, that innocence in her face. Her smile, her fears. Her tender fingers brushing through my hair!

"Eddy, day dreaming about that mystery girl again?" Naren pulls my hair and brings me back to my senses.

" Don't you! you believe anyone blindly it's better she walked away, just think that she has walked away from your life..."Abby looks at me with so much of anger, he's still disappointed about him leaving me alone there!

I slowly recovered, I have completely ignored all of them from my life, I ain't no hero, for getting revenge...I started working again and Today I, Abdul and Naren are hanging out together just like old days. I hope it really takes my mind off everything. We enjoyed the whole day we played some video games, went to the movies and later we finished dinner in our favourite cafe and while returning back,I felt it again, those lilac, roses scented aura filling the air, an enigma of light filled my face and that's when I saw her again.

Hey guys, there... she was the girl who saved me that night .

"What! uhh... hmm... uhh that girl Eddy.... she... she..."shocked by what they were seeing they look at me with so much of doubt!

Yes... that beautiful Angel there is an acid attack survivor and she looks beautiful... beautiful!

You know what, I'm gonna talk to her!

"Wait... Eddy!"

Hola buddy, How are you?

"You!"

Oh no this wasn't the reaction I expected! Now tell me beautiful, you look amazing today how are you?

Her pupils expand and for the first time I can see her smile a little, her lips curve a little from both the sides and I can see her dimples.

"Yuck...mamma why does this lady's face look so ugly!" a passerby walking in the streets with his mother comments on her and keeps starting at her. His mother judgmentfully stares at her and comments"some people are just like that".

Anger, detest is all I feel by watching what happens to her everyday!

Hey lady, if you weren't lucky enough to learn some manners, why would you ruin your child's life like this! people like you bring up criminals. Hey boy, these scars aren't ugly, these scars are the scars of victory, these scars are the scars of hardwork!

Will you promise me, you'd never pass rude comments like that to anyone who looks like this girl here?

"uhuhh, Yes I will" the small boy promises me and waves his hand to her and smiles and walks away.

"You.. you didn't have to do that!"
