Beauty
That was the first thing I was taught to look for
So when I saw him I didn't have to look no more
For his eyes was my enchanter
Twinkling with a playful banter
Grey as a storm
Cold yet worm
His lips was giving me life
Floating in the air, reciting Shakespeare
Ready to become his wife
And oh the shape of his face
Masculinity in the right place
Captured by his smile
Frozen in place as my heart beats wild
His voice was venom
Poisoning my mind
With thoughts that I can't begin to paint
Your hands weaken me
I know longer had the strength to be
I was more than weak in my knee
There couldn't be more damage
There wasn't any other beauty that could do more harm
Oh how I wish that was true
Just when I thought that was all you can do
You killed me with the intelligence you sprew
And that's when I knew
God made me just for you
