Double Take (Part 3)

The Jason in tattered clothes spun, narrowly dodging the other Jason's punch. No quirk was being used, as both Jasons were trying to feel out their opponent still. Their battle was unlike most of the battles that Jason had fought in. The one fight that could be similar to this was their fight against Ojiro in last year's Sports Festival. However, this was different still. Both Jasons were matching each other blow for blow. Neither of them could land a hit on the other. When one would kick high, the other would strike low, but then the first would keep spinning to avoid the strike. It was as if they knew each other perfectly. But that was impossible. Right?

As both Jasons rushed at each other, a wall of ice sprouted between them. They both looked at the source. Shoto had put her foot down. Literally. "Ok, enough of this. Who are you guys?" They both pointed at themselves. "I'm the real Jason!" They both glared at the ice wall upon hearing the other's voice. Shoto put a hand on her head. "It's like looking into a goddamn mirror…" She looked back at them, clearing her throat. "Alright, both of you need to settle down until we figure this out." Both Jasons approached her, passing the ice wall and glaring at each other again. Shoto's flames interrupted their thoughts. She glared at them both. "I will not ask again." Jason and Jason turned their backs toward each other, crossing their arms. Shoto took a sigh of relief as she deactivated her flames.

"Hey!" All three of them turned their heads towards the shout. Chris, Kirishima, Mina, Momo, Denki, and Tokoyami all ran up. Kirishima looked confused. "What's going on?" Momo saw the second Jason first. She stopped in her tracks. Mina looked back at her before looking at the scene. Then she covered her mouth. Denki's eyes widened. "What the…?" Chris slowly walked up to the two Jasons. "...Jason…?" They both turned their head towards him. Chris took a step back. "...ok… I am officially freaked out…" Tokoyami crossed his arms. "I do not understand. How can there be two Jasons?" Denki ran a hand through his hair. "Beats me." Momo thought for a second before lighting up. "Wait! Toga's quirk lets her disguise herself as whoever she wants as long as she drinks their blood!" Chris and Shoto both took up combat stances, facing the Jason in tattered clothes. He looked at them. "What? I'm not Toga." Chris smirked. "I know for a fact that you're the fake." "Everyone stand down!" Everyone turned to the new arrivals: Aizawa and All Might. Kirishima smiled and waved. "Hey Mr. Aizawa! Relax, we have this under control!" Aizawa looked at the situation and his eyes widened. "...oh my god…" All Might was just as shocked. "...impossible…" Aizawa shook his head. "Not impossible. Just… just…"

Aizawa never finished that statement. Chris grabbed the Jason in tattered clothes. "You fucked up, Toga. You're under arrest." Shoto nodded. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a-" The Jason shook Chris off of him. "Back off, dumbass. I'm not Toga." He pointed at the other Jason. "He is. Or she is. You get what I mean." Chris crossed his arms. "Hate to break it to you, Toga, but I've already seen him use his quirk, and you can't copy quirks; only appearances." The Jason glared at him. "Oh yea?" He held up his arm, which became consumed in blue energy. "What about now?!" Everyone in the group froze up. The Jason smirked at the other one, who everyone had originally thought was the real Jason. "Let's see you prove your innocence, Toga." The other Jason, who was just as shocked as the rest of the group, raised his arm too. It became consumed in red energy. Both Jasons just stared at each other. Aizawa's face softened. "...oh no…" All Might looked at him. "What? What does this mean." Aizawa just shook his head. "...they're both Jason… but one of them is a clone of Twice…"

From a distance, with the aid of binoculars, Shigaraki observed the battle in the park. He and Spinner were perched up in a redwood tree, watching the confrontation. Spinner, using his quirk to cling to the tree, looked at Shigaraki. "What is going on?" Shigaraki didn't avert his gaze. "It would appear that the students are beginning to piece together the situation." The villain leader smiled. "But it doesn't matter. I have complete confidence that this will still go according to plan." Spinner looked back in the direction of UA. "I hope you know them as much as you think you do." Shigaraki temporarily lowered the binoculars. "I've spent entire days studying these hero wannabes ever since we met at the attack on the USJ. I know them better than they know each other. I would dare say I know them better than they know themselves. Trust me, this plan will not only be the downfall of those six, but will result in the downfall of all hero society."
