Trump Card (Part 6)

Chris was the first one who ran outside, quickly followed by Jason and Pres Mic. They saw the smoke coming from the destroyed wall. Pres Mic pointed to them. "Get back inside! I'll go-" Chris and Jason sprinted towards the destruction at top speed, quickly followed by Shoto and Kirishima. The hero sighed and shook his head. "...why do I even bother…" The hero ran towards the other dorms, knowing Class 2A was more than capable of defending themselves.

Denki threw open his window, looking out at the smoke. He saw Chris, Shoto, Jason, and Kirishima running towards the smoke. He took a few deep breaths. "Ok, Denki. You can do this." He pulled his running shoes on and sprinted out of his room, down the steps, and out the side door. Tokoyami had jumped out of his window, Dark Shadow emerging and covering him. This allowed Tokoyami very limited flight; a technique that took months for him to master. Inside, Momo took Eri in her arms and ran up to her room. Mina saw them along the way and followed. Eri was crying, scared by the explosion. Itsuka ran up to them. "What's going on?!" Mina shook her head. "We don't know! There was an explosion, and-" Momo shouted. "Enough!" The two other women looked over at her. "The shouting is scaring Eri even more. We have to remain calm." They slowly nodded. Momo, still holding Eri in her arms, turned to Mina. "Grab Iida and inform him that I am heading to my room. I'll have my phone if he needs me. Iida needs to run through the dorm and make sure all of our classmates are safe." Mina ran off. Momo turned to Itsuka. "Have you ever been in a life or death scenario?" "...just the forest incident…" "Then you might want to stay out of this. Jason, Chris, Kirishima, and Shoto have already gone outside and Denki was on his way as well. If you aren't going to help, stay out of their way and focus on evacuation." Itsuka nodded and ran off.

Principal Nezu was on the phone with law enforcement mere seconds after the explosion was detected on the security system. All Might ran in. "Sir! What's happening?!" Nezu took a few moments to finish his call before putting the phone down. "The League of Villains are here. Pres Mic sounded the evacuation alarm, so the teachers are evacuating their classes from their Dorms and classrooms." All Might looked panicked. "If all of the teachers are focusing on evacuation, doesn't that mean the League is currently roaming the campus?!" "Don't worry, All Might. Very capable heroes are already on scene." All Might blinked a few times. "...that… that was fast…" Nezu turned his computer monitor around and faced towards All Might. The former hero nearly had a panic attack as Nezu continued. "Impact, Endgame, Red Riot, and Shoto are currently spearheading the response, and it would appear that Chargebolt and Tsukuyomi, or Denki and Tokoyami as you know them, are on their way to help as well. Ingenium, or Iida, is leading the 2A Dorm evacuation." All Might slammed his hands on the principal's desk. "Are you kidding?! They're just students! You can't expect them to take on the League of Villains all by themselves!" "That's where you're wrong, Toshinori." The Principal looked away from the screen and at All Might. "Chris, Jason, Shoto, Mina, Momo, and Kirishima have been battling the League of Villains ever since the first week of their first year at this school. They have proven time and time again that they can go head to head with these villains." "yea, but-" "Toshinori!" Nezu's forceful tone silenced All Might. "...you're retired… Endeavor is still in a coma… and with all due respect to him, Best Jeanist is not a powerful hero; just popular. That means that those students are this country's best possible chance at stopping the League of Villains. They already know that. I know that. Mr. Aizawa knows that. It's about time that you stop seeing them as your students and start seeing them as what they are; the best heroes this school has ever produced."

Aizawa entered the Committee office. He stopped right where he was. There was no secretary at the front desk, there was nobody milling about in the lobby, and several phones were ringing without being answered. Aizawa had been in the hero profession for too long to be tricked by something as basic as this; this was clearly a trap. Aizawa jumped backwards just in time to avoid a blue fireball. Dabi stepped out of the office. "Hello again, Eraserhead." Aizawa put his arms up in a defensive stance. "...of all the days I decide to leave my scarves at home…" Aizawa instinctively ducked, avoiding a powerful jet of water from behind. The water cut through the wall next to Dabi, who wasn't phased at all. Aizawa rolled to the side, making sure both villains were in front of him. Wake stepped out from his hiding spot. "You were right, Dabi: he is way too fast for us to get him with a sneak attack." Dabi shrugged. "We'll just have to do things the hard way." Wake smiled, preparing his quirk. "You mean the fun way." Aizawa stood up. "No goggles, no scarves, and dressed in a restricting suit." He allowed himself a small smirk. "Just another day in the office."
