One for All (Part 11)

"Red Gun Turret!" Kirishima slammed his fist into the Nomu's stomach. The High End didn't budge much. Denki blasted the distracted Nomu with electricity. "Shouting the name of your attack doesn't make it stronger!" Kirishima ducked underneath the Nomu's left punch. "Shut up and let me feel good about myself!" Denki backpedaled to avoid the Nomu's other arm. "Damn it! We can't beat this thing!" Kirishima turned his head to the blonde. "Yes we can! We just need to try harder!" Kirishima seemed to stop, as if remembering something. "...wait…" Kirishima rolled backwards to avoid the Nomu's downward slam. "Denki! The head is its weak spot! Take that out and it won't be able to regenerate!" The Nomu glared at Denki, as if already understanding what was about to happen. Denki took a deep breath and ran forward. The Nomu raised its arms, and suddenly began to outstretch them. Upon grabbing Denki, the blonde student shouted. "Indiscriminate shock: 5 million volts!" The Nomu screeched in pain as electricity coursed through its body. It fell to the ground, letting go of Denki. The electric hero took a few deep breaths. Then the Nomu started to get back up. Kirishima shouted as he ran up and slammed his fists down on the monster's head. The Nomu grunted. Kirishima continued bringing his fists up and slamming them down. After a few attempts, the Nomu's blood splattered everywhere as Kirishima's fists shattered its skull. The Nomu finally stopped moving. Kirishima took some deep breaths before finally standing up. Denki brushed himself off as he also stood up. "It's finally over…" Kirishima shook his head. "No it's not." Denki looked around, as if expecting another Nomu to charge at them. Then Kirishima explained. "All for One may still be loose. We better go stop him." Denki took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright. Let's go get him." The two of them started running towards the main UA building.

Shoto created yet another ice wall to slow down the Nomu. Mina used this time to try and get behind it. They both knew the head was the weak point. The Nomu turned its head towards Mina. "...pests…" Mina created a wall of acid to keep the monster away from her. She couldn't get close enough to actually do anything. Shoto unleashed her flames. She knew what to do, but given how smart the Nomus were, she couldn't outright tell Mina her plan. That being said, the others still needed help. "Mina! I'll distract it! You take it down!" Mina nodded. Shoto slammed her right hand on the ground, creating a massive ice attack. The Nomu leaped into the air, easily dodging it. Mina spun around as the Nomu landed behind her. She tried to grab the Nomu's head, but it grabbed her hands with a single arm. Mina gritted her teeth as she created as much acid as possible. The Nomu shrieked as its hand melted. Mina grabbed its hand to continue melting it. When the Nomu tried to grab her with its other hand, she grabbed it with her free hand and also started melting it. The Nomu's mouth began to open. Mina's eyes widened. It was going to bite her head off. Then Shoto, coming up from behind Mina, grabbed the Nomu's head with her left hand. "Flashfire Fist: Blue Inferno." She concentrated her flames into her left hand and unleashed them. The Nomu's shrieks could be heard for miles around. Shoto didn't stop. Instead, she cranked up the heat. The flames began to turn blue as they heated up beyond anything Shoto had ever accomplished before. Mina closed her eyes. The heat was too much for her. However, she endured it. She knew that the Nomu would get away the second she let go of its arms. She just needed to last long enough for Shoto to kill it. Then, a few moments later, the Nomu went completely limp, only being held up by Shoto's hand. Shoto stopped her attack and let go. The Nomu's head disintegrated before it even touched the ground.

Shoto offered her right hand to Mina. "Are you alright?" Mina looked up at Shoto as she accepted the help. "You had the full intention to kill it yourself, but you used me as a distraction." Shoto looked away. "Sorry." "Don't be." Shoto looked back at Mina, who was smiling. "These High End Nomus are intelligent, and learn the more they fight. If you had just outright said your plan, it would've adapted. Besides, I know you'll always have my back." Shoto faintly smiled. After a few moments, the two girls began running towards the main UA building.
