One for All (Part 13)

Momo tackled Kyoko out of the way of the Nomu's fists. She then quickly had to create a giant shield from her arm to black another strike. Kyoko quickly sprung to her feet. Her ear jacks moved down into her gloves. "Cover me!" Momo nodded and quickly created yet another sword. Luckily, the intensive training she had undergone in the last six months had drastically expanded what she could create and how many items she could make. Both girls ducked beneath the Nomu's massive swing and charged forward. Momo raised her shield up again to block the Nomu's punch, and then quickly brought her sword down on Nomu's other arm. The sword once again sliced right through the monster, causing its arm to fall right off of the body. The destroyed limb immediately began to regenerate, however. Kyoko didn't waste any time slamming both of her fists right into the Nomu's chest. "Heartbeat Distortion!" After a split second of powering up, the sound amplifiers built into her gloves, powerful enough to shatter the ground using only half their power, let loose into the Nomu's body. The beast shrieked in pain as its body was torn apart by the sound waves.

Momo dropped both her sword and shield, then immediately went to work. She started to create a grey, putty like substance in her hand. "Come on, come on, come on you stupid bosy, work faster!" Kyoko was pushing her quirk and equipment to the max, trying to hold off the Nomu. Her ears were beginning to bleed just from how loud her own quirk was. Despite all of this, the Nomu was beginning to resist. It was raising its arms. Kyoko stopped her attack just to jam her fists right into the Nomu's shoulders. Then she continued her attack. Momo jumped onto the Nomu's back. Momo was now caught up in Kyoko's attack, but Momo shouted to her friend. "Don't let up!" Kyoko couldn't hear her over the soundwaves, but figured Momo knew better than to run into her attack without a plan. She was right. Momo began to spread the putty all over the Nomu's neck. Then she jammed a small black box into the putty and jumped off. Momo grabbed Kyoko by the shoulder. Kyoko stopped her attack and both girls began to retreat. The Nomu just stood there, regenerating. Even though their ears were still ringing, they could hear the massive explosion behind them. The shockwave knocked them down to the ground. Kyoko coughed as she shouted at Nomu, trying to make sure she could be heard. "What the hell was that?!" "Plastic Explosive! Very powerful! I figured it would be good to know how to make it in case of an emergency!"

The girls looked back at where the Nomu had stood and froze up. The Nomu had survived, and was beginning to regenerate. Kyoko clenched her fists as she stood up. "...you're kidding me… if that won't kill it, what will?!" Momo also got back up. "Not us, that's for sure." The Nomu smiled, its regeneration halfway to completion. Then its arm was ripped right off from the shoulder joint. The girls tensed up, then smiled as they recognized the blur that had just passed them. They shouted in unison. "Ingenium!"

Iida didn't stop. He made a lap around the Nomu and charged again. "Your reign of terror ends here, monster! Recipro Turbo!" Iida's engines began to heat up as they generated blue flames. Iida jumped and kicked the Nomu right in the chest. A normal strike wouldn't have done anything, but this boosted kick tore right through the Nomu's body, and Iida had landed, ran around the Nomu again, then landed another kick to the neck before the chunks of Nomu from the first kick had even hit the ground. "I learned a lot here at UA! I learned that Recipro Burst, albeit a powerful technique, was slowing me down! How could I save people if I could only use my ultimate move three or four times before I can no longer run?! I'm beyond that problem now! Thanks to my new technique, Recipro Turbo, I can fight at top speed…" Iida jumped and spun in the air, gaining more momentum for a devastating attack. "...for ten minutes straight!" Iida's full power kick hit the Nomu's head, splattering it against the trees behind it. The body fell to the ground, now completely lifeless.

Iida turned off his Recipro Turbo, saving its power for later. "...that was about 30 seconds…" Momo and Kyoko ran right to him. Momo grabbed Iida. "Where is Eri?! Is she ok?!" Iida nodded. Eri is in a safe place right now." Momo let out a big sigh of relief. Kyoko nudged her with a smile. "We just barely escape death and your first thoughts are on that little girl. You really do act like her mother." Momo immediately became flustered. "...w-what… no, it's not-" Kyoko didn't let her finish as her attention turned to Iida. "That was amazing. You beat that High End like it was nothing." Iida crossed his arms. "I may have killed it, but I had the element of surprise, not to mention it appeared to have been weakened. What was that massive explosion, anyways?" Momo stopped blushing. "Plastic Explosive." Iida just shook his head. "I'm going to ignore the fact that you created a very dangerous material on school property." Kyoko looked dumbfounded. "What the hell do you mean? We were literally fighting for our lives!" "I know. That's why I'm ignoring it." Momo grabbed both Kyoko and Iida. "Come on you two, let's go see who else needs our help." The trio began running towards the main UA building.
