One for All (Part 14)

All for One managed to land on his feet, but was still trying to recover from Chris's punch when the hero was suddenly right in front of the villain and punched him again. All for One was forced to use his 'Air Walk' quirk to stop in midair. "Where did this speed come from?!" Chris was moving faster than All for One could even see. So fast, in fact, that the 'Hit Recoil' quirk didn't seem to be able to keep up, given that Chris showed no signs of self injury after two direct punches.

In reality, Chris felt the recoil from both of his 100% punches. He could also feel the strain on his body as he pushed himself beyond his limits. However, he was too angry to care at that moment. He knew that if he didn't stop All for One right here, right now, then nobody else would be able to. This ended today, one way or another.

Aizawa managed to keep his eyes forced open just long enough to watch Chris land the second punch. The young hero was moving much faster than he ever had before. This new strength was beyond anything that the pro hero had witnessed. As Aizawa lay there, watching Chris vanish and chase after All for One, he smiled. Chris, Impact, had surpassed every other hero who had come before. Then everything went black.

All for One brought his arms up and successfully blocked Chris's punch. However, Chris simply appeared behind All for One and punched him 50 times in mere seconds. This caused the villain to grunt in pain before turning around and trying to punch Chris. The hero in training ducked to the left, spun, and landed a devastating kick right into All for One's rib cage. All for One was once again sent airborne. All for One was trying to wrap his head around what was happening. "...just minutes ago… he couldn't even touch me without causing immense harm to himself… couldn't even hurt me… now…" All for One stuck his feet into the ground, trying to slow himself down. "...now he's surpassed me in both strength and speed? How is this possible? Even All Might in his prime wasn't anywhere near this strong...." All for One finally came to a stop and leaned forward. "...don't tell me…" He looked up to see Chris charging towards him. "...has Impact been holding back up until this point?"

Chris shouted as he landed another punch to All for One's face. The entire world seemed to be moving in slow motion. Chris had only experienced this kind of power once before: during his battle with overhaul, when Eri had been helping him by repairing his body. Chris landed several more punches against All for One. The villain managed to bring his right fist back and punch Chris square in the face. For a moment, Chris didn't move. Then Chris brought his right hand up and grabbed All for One's wrist. He brought his left hand up and put it on All for One's elbow. Then he pushed inward, snapping All for One's arm in a very unnatural way. All for One couldn't contain his painful scream this time. Chris moved forward and unleashed a barrage of punches right to All for One's chest and stomach. The pain from the Hit Recoil was nearly unbearable, but Chris was driven by sheer rage and determination. This was the bastard responsible for All Might's injury and retirement. This is the villain who helped Shigaraki create the League of Villains. This was the guy responsible for every horrible thing that's happened in the last few years.

Chris brought both fists back and thrust them forward, landing a double punch on All for One. Due to the excruciating pain he was in, All for One couldn't stay airborne or even stay upright. The villain was sent rolling across the ground. Chris smiled. "This is it!" Chris crouched down, putting every ounce of power he could muster into his arms and legs. He reared his arm back. "Detroit…" All for One managed to look towards Chris, and he felt nothing but panic. The greatest villain in the world was about to be killed by a college student? Chris leapt forward. "...Sma-'' Chris was cut short as he heard a snapping sound. He fell and rolled across the ground, falling just short of All for One. Then the incredible wave of pain washed over him. It finally happened: the strain of using 100% had shattered the bones in his legs, and at the worst possible timing. "No! No! No, dammit, no!" Chris struggled to get up. Now that he wasn't moving, his arms were consumed by pain as well. They had broken a while ago, thanks to the strain of 100% of One for All and Hit Recoil, but the adrenaline had concealed the pain.

All for One slowly rose to his feet, his shattered now completely healed. "No more." All for One kicked Chris right in the face, sending him flying several feet. Chris grunted in pain and slowly rolled to a stop. All for One, using Air Walk, floated towards Chris. "I always treated you lot as a joke. Every single wielder of One for All, including my little brother, were nothing more than ants, easily crushed by me. All Might was the first to defeat me, but he sacrificed something each time." All for One brought his foot up and slammed it down on Chris, crushing several ribs. Chris gritted his teeth in pain as All for One continued his rant. "First, All Might sacrificed his body. Then he sacrificed his position as Symbol of Peace. You're different." All for One slammed his foot down on Chris again. "You're a problem that I cannot allow to go on any longer. The only reason I'm still alive right now is because you haven't fully mastered One for All. Allowing you to live, to continue this game, would be foolish. I don't even know if Shigaraki would be able to beat you anymore." All for One set his foot down, staring down at Chris. "You're too dangerous to be allowed to live any longer. One for All dies with you." All for One brought his arm up and aimed it directly at Chris. The hero in training defiantly glared back at All for One, unable to move his body. Up above, All Might couldn't do anything but helplessly watch. The former Symbol of Peace closed his eyes.

Chris suddenly seemed very confused as he looked somewhere off to the left. All for One was intrigued by this. What could've gotten this boy's attention while he's staring death in the face? Then the ground began to shake slightly. All for One's attention was now also focused on whatever Chris was looking at. Thanks to his sonar quirk, he knew that something gigantic was swiftly approaching them. Chris's eyes widened. "...holy shit… is that…?" All for One was dumbfounded as a massive wall of shadow crushed the tree line. Tokoyami's eyes locked onto the villain before he let out a bloodcurdling roar. "All for One!"
