Matfield

Zombies, powerful mutants, and a little more. The protaganist will experience what it is like to become a mutant in the apocalypse that he always dreamed about. Friends, enemies, and a little something more are all in store for Matt.

God of the Apocalypse

The alarm on the side table went of as it flipped over to 12:00 P.M.


Matt immediately silences the alarm since he had been watching it for some time now. Getting out of bed and stretching Matt says, "God do I have to do this to day?"


After getting ready, he heads out the door to catch a cab to head to the shopping district to run errands and then go to work at 5:00 P.M.


Arriving rather early he heads to the mall to wander around and get food. While eating, he checks the news and sees several news broadcasts talking about events around the world. Funny enough, the most current one is about a fault rupture near San Diego, only a couple of hours away from him.


The report read that the fault had split open and was currently releasing large amounts of heat and gas. There had been several injured that had been transported to the near by hospital, but no casualties. 


At exactly 1:45 P.M on his phone, Matt notice a disturbance in the mall as several people were running past him. Seeing this, he stood up and began looking around at the happenings. It didn't take long for him to notice the cause as there were people running slightly behind the group fleeing.


These people were covered in blood and some had marks on their bodies that looked as if they had been bitten.


Matt's first thought was only one thing. 'It finally happened!' It could be said that he was rather excited about this even.


What he failed to notice was what could only be described as a zombie approaching on he left. As he spun around to run away, the zombie lunged forward and managed to bite into his shoulder.


Managing to get away, Matt sprinted to the nearest shop on the 4th level of the mall, which was game store, and ran in to the back room and locked himself in.


Looking at the wound on his shoulder, Matt could only think of how this was a terrible start to the apocalypse that he had always dreamed about.  Now he only hoped that the could survive this. Passing out from the pain, it seemed that this might very well be the end of his dreams.
